I took a chance when needing a painter so I contacted Limeys and one other company from Thumbtack. Limeys responded within a couple of hours and we scheduled a time to meet the next day. Roger, the owner, had an estimate within a couple of days.... meanwhile nothing from the other company. I hired Roger to paint the entire interior of our new home (3K sq. ft.) and he started two weeks later. First day they arrived before 8AM and started immediately. They primed ceilings and walls with stain blocker. Prepped and applied two finish coats to all ceilings, prepped woodwork and doors caulked and filled where needed and applied two finish coats. From the moment they started they were respectful of our home and cleaned up every night before leaving. They cleaned cob webs from high ceilings and our home has never looked better. I took a chance and I hit the jackpot. They did a fabulous job for a fair price! I highly recommend Limeys Paint and Paper and will use them again once our kitchen is renovated.

My husband and I had a great experience working with Roger! His communication with us was excellent, he even accommodated us when we had to change the work dates at the last minute. He and his partner painted our living room, dining room, hallway, entryway, and ceilings in just two days. To complete the finished look, they also touched up the caulking around the molding as well; our home looks great and I'm so happy with the results. We look forward to hiring him again when we're ready to continue painting more rooms! Also very happy with the cost, very fair especially compared to other quotes we received, he couldn't be beat.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am always willing to offer a quote but I am also prepared to do hourly plus materials which sometimes makes more sense for the customer. If I do hourly I use an app to track my time and give a full report at the end of the job.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with new customers I like to meet with them and take a look at the job then I can address any concerns they might have and get a feel for what they are looking for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did my apprenticeship in England where we did a lot of interior work in older buildings often with a lot of decorative and detail work. Wallpaper was very popular when I first started out so I have many years experience doing it. I took classes on faux finishes too.
