Dan is amazing professional and has a great sense of humor. He arrived early, and took the time to explain information. He is very reasonably priced, I quoted around and his estimate came out on top. His report was sent via email in a day as promised. My family would highly reccommend Dan to perform a home inspection.

Dan was great to work with. He showed up to the property early and by the time I had arrived (15 minutes early) he was already prepared to point out a few things about the exterior of the home before the home inspection even began. My father in law joined me at inspection and Dan was incredibly welcoming to have him follow around the home and ask questions and point things out as well. Dans report was key in us going back to the sellers with our "final" offer on the home, we were very impressed with how diligent and detailed his report came back to us. His highlighted concerns were key in us discussing what should and should not be address with the sellers. Dan was absolutely fabulous to work with and made the inspection process enjoyable. I would refer his name forward as an inspector to any one going through the same process.

We had an unusual, out-of-shape property we were looking into investing in, and Dan from Millyard Home Inspection provided a very thorough report outlining the large list of issues quite promptly. He was very professional and punctual from start to finish. Thanks, Dan!

Daniel performed our home inspection for 2nd home we were purchasing in New Hampshire. We had used another gentleman just 6 months ago who had received good reviews in Yelp. So, we had someone to compare him against. Wow were we so impressed! Daniel was extremely thorough, professional, flexible and non-biased (most important of all). We needed radon gas testing to take place but had only a few days from the date of the inspection to get it done. Needless to say, we were nervous about getting the results back in time. Daniel came to the rescue by driving 45 minutes one way from his office to place the radon tests several days ahead of time. While he was there, he took the time to perform the exterior inspection to save some time! The day of the inspection could not have gone more smoothly. Daniel started by setting expectations about the services we were about to be provided. I found this to be extremely professional. During the inspection, Daniel left no stone unturned! He was on his ladder checking the interior roof fro. The attic crawl space. He uncovered a bathroom fan that was venting into the attic space. He found several potential safety risks that we would have never even thought twice about or uncovered ourselves. The septic company he hired did a spectacular job explaining the septic system to us as well. We walked away from the inspection with a much better idea of what we were getting ourselves into. The actual inspection report was thorough, easy to read and extremely well written and documented. We would HIGHLY recommend using Daniel for your home inspection. You will never want to risk hiring anyone else ever again!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My prices vary and are mostly determined by the square footage and age of house. Homes over 50 years old tend to be more of a challenge in determining age and serviceability of certain components such as electric. heating, plumbing, etc. Additional fees also apply to Water, Septic and Radon testing.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Customer's contact me initially by phone or email. I discuss the process of the home inspection. If the customer agrees to terms we schedule a time and date at their convenience to meet at the house they are purchasing. A pre-inspection agreement is emailed prior to inspection so customer has time to review process of inspection

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 20 years of remodeling and renovation experience. I have taken over 400 hours of classroom education and obtained my home inspection license in accordance with State laws of New Hampshire. I am also a member of the ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors). ASHI is the nations oldest and most respected home inspection associations. I use ASHI standards of inspection which meet or exceed New Hampshire and national standards of inspection.
