Theresa is doing great job on training my dog. She really loves dog. I can tell that she is fully engaged in training dogs. She treats dog as her little baby. I am very glad to have Theresa as my dog's trainer. She is patient and responsible. Both of I and my dog have learned a lot from her. Sprite learned to sit, down, and leave things. She becomes a polite puppy and starts to listen to my instruction. Although sometimes she is still a little bit hard to control, she had learned more that I have expected. I would like to keep touch with Theresa and let her teach Sprite more lessons. I am very appreciate for what Theresa have done.
Lisa is a highly gifted trainer! Her innate ability to instill calm behavior is unmatched by any trainer. Furthermore, her experience training horses gives her the ability to work with larger more unruly dogs. Where other trainers wanted to break the dog into submission or spoil them, Lisa walked a line that shows the dogs they are loved but are on the bottom of the totem pole. In addition, I was taught how to work with my dog in order to further his training. Her prices are more than fair and her results are amazing!
Amanda is doing a great job helping me with my dog Darla's training. Amanda comes to my house for the sessions which I really like. I hired her for 4 sessions and have had 3 sessions so far with the 4th session scheduled in a few weeks. I adopted Darla from the SPCA and she came with a lot of baggage and fears that I keep discovering as things occur. Her biggest fears were people, noises, & other animals. Her fear was so great that she showed aggression (not towards me but towards the person, noise, or animal) which was worrisome for me because I wanted her to have a good quality of life with me. I've seen such an improvement in Darla's behavior already and we,be only had 3 sessions so far. She's learned quite a few commands, she is far less fearful of people, handles her fears of noises much better, & we're still working on her reaction to other animals but it has improved greatly. Amanda has suggested & shown me different options to try when these situations arise and they're working do well. All in all I'm very pleased with Amanda & the training sessions. I love the post session training notes because they help me to remember everything we covered during the session. I would highly recommend Amanda at Good Dogs to anyone who is having issues with their furry family members. Amanda is very knowledgeable, approaches everything with a positive attitude, uses positive reinforcement, and is so good & kind to my dog. I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience.
I was a little hesitant to send my dog off to Isys because when I looked over her Facebook page it didn't seem as though she had as much experience as some of the other trainers who I spoke with. I talked with her by phone and explained what we were struggling wiht with our 10 month old Goldendoodle. Following our conversation, I felt comfortable with her training methods and decided what the heck - everyone starts out with fewer clients. I am SO glad I made the decision to go with her. I asked her about her background and experience and she has been training dogs since she was a teenager, having trained the family to participate in agility competitions. Our dog did not have a major behavior problem. He is and was a very sweet dog who listened inconsistently, stole food from the counters, and hated going in to his cage - he either refused or barked and whined the whole time he was in there. He did not need major behavior modification but needed to listen consistently, come when called, and be trusted not to steal food. Isys is one of the few trainers who will do a "boot-camp" style training who does not use shock collars. For me this was important because I need to be able to control my dog and can't hold a remote in my hand 24/7. In addition we have an electric dog fence and two collars are just too much for him to wear. Isys uses repetition and positive reinforcement and by being consistent our dog came back a better listener. As I type this he has been waiting patiently in his crate for ten minutes, with the door open, to be allowed to leave. I wish I could post a picture to prove it! Over the ten day period when Isys had my dog she updated me with pictures and videos on his progress. It was clear from her pictures and updates that our dog was happy and having fun while training. He was with other dogs at times which helped him obey even when distracted. We had coordinated the training to align with a vacation so it was nice to know that our dog was having a great holiday as well. Isys also has incredible follow through. After dropping my dog back off at home, she spent about an hour going over what he had learned with us. A few weeks later when I was not having as much success as Isys had had, she came back and trained him again at my house. She also offered and will be coming back again to train my three young children on how to maintain the obedience training. Isys is calm, upbeat, and very accommodating. I would highly recommend Isys for dog training.
Jacqui is an awesome trainer! Through her training & suggestions, our girl Molly has been more responsive to us. Through Jacqui’s positive re-enforcement we also now know a much better way to communicate with Molly. Her methods are basic & simple to follow so we can follow up with Molly’s “homework”. If you want a great dog trainer, Jacqui is the lady for you. She comes highly recommended by our family.
Susan has been handling and training our dogs for the breed ring since 1994. During that time, she has shown our dogs to over 20 US and international championships including a GCH, and the FCI World Champion. (There is only one per breed per year.) She has helped us evaluate litters as well. She has always been generous not only with her skills but her knowledge. We look forward to continuing to work with her.
Kristin is an amazing dog trainer. She's patient and very reliable. She makes sure you have everything that you've learnt from each session printed out for you so you can remember what todo. 😍
We hired Lloyd initially to help us with training our new puppy. I have experience with other trainers and I would have to say that Lloyd's knowledge, teaching ability and his patient and calm instruction have been exceptionable. We have also boarded our dog, and have had our puppy groomed by Lloyd. I would have to say that in all respects Lloyd Mosher, L.E.A.D. Dog, services has been excellent. I have recommended him to a number of dog owners. I believe anyone would learn a great deal from his years of experience.
Ashley Clark is an amazing dog trainer. She is focused on the success of both dog and handler. Ashley is a trainer who can help you build a relationship with your dog that is both positive and rewarding. I feel very fortunate to have met her through her volunteer work at a local shelter. She has helped me with my extremely fearful dog Dewey. He has made great strides with her guidance. If you are looking for a knowledgeable and skilled dog trainer invested in strengthening the relationship between you and your dog:Ashley is the best.
Renee was so great training our dog Emma who we adopted from Forever Home Rescue NE. Renee really has an insight into working with rescue dogs and knows how to cater to their different backgrounds and experiences. Emma is doing great and even passed her Canine Good Citizen Test!
Being a natural born skeptic, I had doubts about dog trainers in general. However my rescue puppy Cate and I had a wonderful experience attending Shannon's Basic class. Shannon's depth of knowledge was impeccable as she fielded any and all questions that class participants had. Her patience with both the canines AND their handlers was admirable. The only thing that could be improved upon was me!! Dennis W. Fogg and his best girl Cate.
Jessica has a natural ability to connect with dogs. We were told by many trainers our dachshund was untrainable but she never gave up and now he’s the dog we always hoped for!
Ive hunted over labs and pointing breeds for over 40 years and I have known and worked with a number of pro trainers. You can expect all good pros to steady a dog, teach force-fetch, etc. A very big difference is in their attitude and approach. Not the dogs; the trainers. Daves style has been refreshing and I enjoy working my dogs with him. I definitely learn, and all that shows up in the dog work.
I have been working with Nayiri since we adopted our mix-breed dog as a young puppy a little over a year ago. As I have no experience with dog-training, I have greatly appreciated Nayiri's supportive, patient, and clear advice. Nayiri was able to help us with teaching basic commands, as well as to address issues particular to our dog and family. She also helped us to recognize "bad habits" which were developing, which we had overlooked. Nayiri consistently promoted positive reinforcement, rather than a more punitive training style. Yet, she also helped us to integrate firm, and clear directions when our dog was "testing" us. Nayiri has even worked patiently with my two children, and taught them fun games to play with our dog. She has been extremely flexible about scheduling, has answered questions via email, and provided us with written information.
Paige Button is an excellent dog trainer and her enthusiasm shines in her work. She is fascinated by animals and this shows in her training style. Calm and patient, I highly recommend her to anybody!
I have been an avid bird hunter for years but never had a trained dog of my own. Recently I got a new dog and decided this time I wanted to train the dog for the field. I was recommended to EAST COAST FIELD DOG by a friend and went to meet the trainner. We have gotten together several times for training and I can't tell you how much I am impressed with how my dog works. The training has been great. For any one who wants a good hunting buddy and a well trained dog, this is the trainer to see!!!
Kathleen is a skilled dog trainer who intuitively understood the best way to correct unwanted behavior that one of my dog was exhibiting and trained the other not to pull while on a leash. Although our initial work together was over a year ago, we remain in touch and I know I can always turn to her for help with any issue. Having also boarded one of my dogs with her, I know the care and attention each dog staying with her receives.
Susie is a wonderful trainer. She loves dogs and you can tell that in the way she teaches. Hope is learning well from Susie , I am excitted to continue to take lessons from Susie.
I train dogs. I can clean them, teach them tricks, and do more. I can also teach them to love kids.
