I attended my first small group fitness class at Vargus Fitness in February 2012 and haven’t stopped going since. The owner, Mike, is very knowledgable regarding exercising and what you should be doing versus what you should not be doing. I’ve never felt intimidated or uncomfortable while being there but rather strong and confident. The workouts are intense and you ALWAYS feel like you’re getting the workout of your life. You will definitely feel every bone and muscle in your body getting a full workout. The classes and his personal training sessions change on a daily basis and the best part is these classes are universal in that they are appropriate for a beginner in the fitness world or someone who’s been working out for some time. I also really like the motivation the staff provides and they never let you slack off. The staff focuses on every person individually throughout the class and will provide you with guidance/assistance/corrections on any exercises you may find difficult or that you may be doing incorrectly. Additionally, in the 2 years I’ve been attending Vargus Fitness, all of the other clientele I’ve met have been nothing but nice, fun and motivating as well. We push each other to higher limits and enjoy calling each other out if one of us falls short on an exercise. If you’re more interested in the one on one training, there are also personal training classes available. Again, similar to the boot camp classes, the personal training is just as intense and the staff can accommodate your workout to your specific needs.
Andrew's program and supervision make every session like a personal training session. The box gym can't compete. not on quality, not on value.
I just completed my first session with Coach Mark very knowledgable and easy going cant wait for my next session I would recommend anyone looking for basketball coach to try him out hes worth the time
37 Fitness (Courtney) is a phenomenal trainer and coach. Not only is he motivating and personable, but he is extremely knowledgable about training, mobility and strength. Courtney is a committed trainer, constantly checking in and keeping me inspired. His sessions are the perfect balance of fun and hard-work - his workouts are tough but he always keeps me laughing. He is literally the best trainer I've ever had.
I have been training with Will at Kinetic Fitness for over 2 months now and the results have been Phenomenal. He has and encyclopedic knowledge--after 2 months, I don't think I've done the same exercise twice with him and he makes training the training new and interesting every time. I don't know how or where he comes up with some of them, but they are effective. He also manages to them fun despite the exhaustion. There is no doubt that Will make you work extremely hard and expects a real commitment. But he also takes a personal interest in your success and brings a balance of challenge and encouragement. I'm very happy to work with Will and I take pleasure in recommending them to others.

I have been training with Kurt consistently over the course of the last year and am thrilled with the results/progress! Not only has he helped me achieve my goals, he has taught me about proper fueling/nutrition as well. He genuinely listened to my semi-vain female fitness goals (flat abs, big butt, toned legs, slender arms) and has come up with challenging, highly customized workouts that are different every time so it never gets boring. Fitness for Life is an idea that I have for a fitness organization. It is in the works, and by that I mean it is only an idea. I have plenty of them. Coming out of Cortland State University, I graduated with a physical education degree in 2012. I have been teaching in the NYC Department of Education for the past two years as well as officiating men's basketball. Both are passions for me, but I have been gradually gaining an obsession with fitness and nutrition. That being said, I am now pursuing my physical training certification and am a couple of months away from being certified.
