We hired Laura for day of coordination and decor services for our wedding this past August. We booked a venue that basically only came with tables and chairs, and we knew we would need a coordinator to help put all the pieces together. Laura worked with our vendors to put together a clear and thorough timeline of the day. She also organized all the logistical details from the processional to the reception announcements to the dinner service... and everything in between. I did not have to worry about a single thing at my wedding because Laura was always a step ahead and making sure everything was taken care of. She also sorted out the mess that was my DIY wedding decorations and managed to put it all together with a clear vision. She handled all the flowers and decor for the ceremony and reception, and everything came out truly beautiful. It was exactly what I wanted. I can't thank Laura (and her sister Kelly!) enough.

We met Laura of Elegant Events by Laura thru Thumbtack, and from the very first conversation to hiring her and to our wedding night everything was seamless and perfect. My husband and I were planning a New Jersey wedding from Virginia, and we needed someone we could trust to not only recommend vendors, but assist us with the day-of planning and making sure everything went off without a hitch. Laura's expertise at wedding planning and how everything worked immediately put us at ease and we knew we needed to hire her! Laura was so incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. She was accessible by phone and email and we also met in person a few times when we were up in NJ. (I know she would have been willing to meet more frequently, but we just weren't in the area!) We did have a bit of a snafu in the morning (relating to other vendors -- one of our shuttles broke down!) and Laura handled everything like the amazing professional she is! I already miss working with Laura. I would hire Elegant Events by Laura for my next party in NJ in an instant!

I highly recommend Elegant Events by Laura to anyone! Laura was so sweet throughout the whole year of my wedding planning. She is very kind and talented, which any bride would appreciate, especially me! Every email I sent her had a quick, thoughtful reply, and because of that I felt very taken tare of and completely trusted her. Laura and her assistant did the flowers for my wedding (the table flowers, bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and even decorated my cake for me flowers that matched) and they were all perfect! They delivered everything and set everything up beautifully. I had all white flowers and they looked stunning. I will definitely be recommending Laura's services to any friend that needs flowers or a wedding coordinator. =) I'd give them an A+.

Laura was wonderful to work with! She was a huge help both before our wedding and on the day of. We had grand visions for our photos and Laura spent months applying for permits for us, which is no easy feat in NYC. She handled the paperwork and followed up with each location several times to make sure we were totally covered. Right before the wedding she checked in with all of our vendors and made sure they knew where to be and when, which was something I REALLY did not want to be doing the week of my wedding. She answered all of my silly, last-minute anxiety questions and kept me calm during the home stretch. She also clearly has a lot of day-of experience and was prepared for every situation - scissors, safety pins, and hairspray were all ready to go when we needed them. She even had a walkie talkie system set up with her assistant, who would be in another location waiting for us, so all of our timing was perfect. I didn't have to worry about a single thing all day except where my next glass of champagne was. I can't recommend Laura highly enough.

Laura is beyond incredible. She made our day exceptional and every day leading up to it as well. Plus, she's an incredible florist and my flowers were so simple and elegant and exactly what I wanted. I can't say enough about how fantastic she is. She's the person you want taking care of things and taking care of you. She shows no sweat or frazzle and keeps tabs on every detail. Just the kind of security you need on a day as crazy as your wedding. I'd recommend her to anyone and if I ever have another party to plan, she's my girl!

I take flower design classes and keep up to date with the latest trends.

I was a theatre major and used to direct shows all the time. Planning an event is like directing a one day show.
