While I don't know how other officiants go about their service, and I wouldn't presume to comment on them, I do know that every couple (so far) has been extremely pleased with mine. This statement is based on communication after the ceremony, comments from their family and guests, comments from staff at the venues, as well as reviews I've received so far. I encourage you to look me up on the Wedding Wire website and read other reviews regarding my service. I like being a part of a couple's momentous day. I get a great feeling that I am the person performing their wedding ceremony. It's a happy time.

We just met with Rev. Savage and we knew he would be the right person to officiate our wedding. He understood exactly what we were looking for and I have no doubt that our ceremony will be well planned and have a relaxed, enjoyable theme. Rev. Savage is very personable and we had great conversations on various topics. We're very pleased with our choice and highly recommend Rev. Savage!

From our first correspondence with Rev. Savage, my fiancé and I knew that he would be a perfect fit to officiate our wedding. While both Mike and I are considered Catholic, Mike never had his confirmation due to a sickness. Since I had always dreamed of having my wedding outdoors, and he never got confirmed, we decided that we did not need a Priest, as did we need to be married in a church, and we did not want to take several pre-cana courses. I should mention here that we had been together for 9 years before we married, and lived with each other for a few years, as well. We found Rev. Savage using Thumbtack, and after emailing with him a couple times, we decided to meet with him. Rev. Michael Savage was so sweet, personable and understanding of our choices. Once it was time for us to choose our readings and our vows, he was more than willing to help us, and to allow us to really personalize our ceremony, and to choose any readings and vows that fit our relationship, rather than having to choose only from his list of readings. He was very responsive to my emails, for which I am super grateful. Jumping ahead to the day of our ceremony, it was HOT outside. Super humid! We opted to still have our ceremony outdoors, as that was our vision for the day. Rev. Savage did an incredible job; he was professional, yet witty, and got all of us out of the ceremony space and into the air conditioning within about 20 minutes. Overall, Reverend Savage was an absolute gem, and he made our wedding ceremony so special and unique to us as a couple. I will recommend him to each and every one of my friends!

From the moment my (now) wife and I walked out of our initial meeting with Reverend Michael, we both knew that we were going to select him as our wedding officiant. Even though we had a few more meetings scheduled with other wedding officiants, we both felt that Reverend Michael had set the bar so high that it could not be exceeded by any other officiant. In regards to our initial meeting, Reverend Michael arrived on time and was well prepared. He helped to answer any and all of our questions regarding the amount of work involved with obtaining a marriage license, and even provided us with a copy of a marriage license application! And remember, this is all during our initial meeting! Once my wife and I informed Reverend Michael that he was our guy, he immediately sprung into action. Given that my wife and I were having a secular wedding and had chosen not to write our own vows, we were both sort of clueless as to what to kind of readings and unifying activities (sand ceremony, candle ceremony, hand ceremony, etc.) to include in the wedding ceremony. However, Reverend Michael helped to take away any anxiety, stress, and concerns that we had regarding the wedding ceremony. He provided us with a few sample outlines of wedding ceremonies for my wife and I to review, and asked us to select the one that resonated with us the most. After selecting a ceremony outline, my wife and I added personal touches to the ceremony outline, and submitted it to Reverend Michael as our first draft. Reverend Michael always reminded us that we could alter our wedding ceremony draft as many times as we liked, which definitely made my wife and I feel more comfortable (as we continued to add to our ceremony in the days leading up to our wedding, personalizing it and making it more special long after our initial draft was submitted). On the day of our wedding, Reverend Michael made sure to show up early in an effort to familiarize himself with the venue, and even introduced himself to a few family members who decided to arrive early as well. Reverend Michael did a phenomenal job officiating our wedding ceremony. He held the attention of our guests in attendance by projecting his voice and speaking clearly. Also, he even made our guests laugh a few times during the ceremony! Simply put, Reverend Michael is a natural and down to Earth, and most importantly relatable person. He possesses all of the qualities that a top-notch wedding officiant should have. From his level of professionalism, to his good-natured charm, Reverend Michael is an all around decent guy, and I would not hesitate to select him as my wedding officiant if I were you! Trust me, you will be VERY happy you did!

I wish words could truly describe how AMAZING Reverend Michael Savage is... He was the officiant for our June 4th, 2016 wedding, and I can honestly say that if it were not for him, our wedding wouldn't have been complete. On our first meeting with Rev. Michael, we knew within the first 5 minutes that he was the "one." He's charismatic, professional, kind-hearted, well spoken, intelligent, funny and overall - INCREDIBLE! He reviewed all the material for the event, and made sure to customize it just for us... He was extremely patient with the changes I had to make (including the changes I had the day before), and he always returned my e-mails and texts. The day of the wedding he arrived early, and made sure to take care of all the details... The ceremony was everything we hoped it would be and MORE!!!! Every word, every gesture, and every second was PERFECTION!!! Reverend Michael is a GOD SENT, and will always be a friend to us. Do NOT hesitate to have him officiate your special day - he will surpass your every expectation. THANK YOU!!!! :)

    There is nothing complicated about the fee.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    As both of our children are in college, and away for a good part of the year, I was looking for something to allow me to help others. I've found this and I plan on doing it for the next thirty years or for as long as I am competent :-)

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    It comes down to this, you both have to "want" the officiant who will will perform your ceremony.
