Introduction: Hello!
My name is Matt Malanowski and I have been teaching piano lessons for 13 years! I have taught for many music schools including the Manhattan School of Music Summer Program (Manhattan, NY), the Music Conservatory of Westchester (White Plains, NY), Larchmont Music Academy (Westchester, NY), and Home Sweet Home Music Lessons (NJ). I have also had a private studio of my own for the last 13 years, teaching jazz and classical piano, music theory and songwriting techniques.
My goal when teaching is for the students to have fun, and to learn at a pace which is comfortable for them. I tailor my lessons to what the student is interested in learning the most. For example, if a student wants to the learn the music of a certain artist, we delve into that music. This way the student never feels forced to learn anything they are not interested in. There is much to learn regarding melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, as well as all of the musical elements, in all forms of music.
I want to spread the same joy and healing that music has brought to me in my life. I always give 100% of my effort and attention to each individual student.
