Introduction: I have been teaching piano and guitar professionally for 10 years to students of all ages, and I create a fun, engaging, and effective learning environment for my students!
In addition to teaching privately in Jersey City, I have also been a piano and guitar teacher at the Institute of Music for Children for the past eight years.
I have taught practically every genre of music from classical to rock, blues, folk, jazz, pop and literally everything in between.
I teach my students the music that they want to learn and create a learning path that will get them to their goals as soon as possible.

I find Ian very enjoyable as a teacher. He works very well with my crazy schedule, and is understanding of my needs as a student. He listens to my concerns and give appropriate responses and answers. I would have no problem recommending him to anyone.

Ian has been my 8 years old son's piano instructor for several months and I hope for years to come! My son has improved so quickly and greatly with Ian's instruction and his love for the piano has grown tremendously as well. Ian works with my son on music that appeals to him and that helps so much. Ian is always on time (he comes to us), and has never cancelled. Additionally he has been flexible the few times we have needed to change an appointment.
