FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the size of the property and the scope of work. For small residential lawns under 1,000 sq ft, standard service is $65 per visit, which includes mowing, trimming, edging, and a full clean finish. For leaf clean-ups and larger lawns, pricing ranges higher depending on volume and time required. I always provide a clear estimate before starting any work. First-time visits that require cleanup or extra labor may be priced slightly higher, and then recurring maintenance is billed at the lower standard rate. If service is in New York City, a small travel/parking allowance may be added to cover tolls and parking time. There are no hidden fees — everything is explained upfront.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by asking for a few photos of the property so I can understand the layout and the scope of work. This allows me to give an accurate estimate upfront with no surprises. Once the price is confirmed, we schedule a service window that works best for you. On the day of service, I do a quick walkthrough (or review photos if you’re not home) to confirm any priorities or areas to avoid. I complete the work, do a full clean finish, and send a message with photos when done. If it’s a one-time visit, I make sure everything meets your expectations. If you’re interested in ongoing maintenance, I provide a simple monthly plan so the yard stays consistently clean and easy to maintain. Clear communication, no hidden fees, and dependable service — that’s the standard.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned landscape and garden care through hands-on experience working with residential gardens, small outdoor spaces, and environmental restoration projects. I grew up in a rural area in Brazil, where maintaining fruit trees, home gardens, and outdoor spaces was part of everyday life. Later, I founded Rio Paraná, a nonprofit focused on environmental stewardship and community-based ecological projects. Through this work, I collaborated with local farmers and land stewards to restore green areas, care for native plants, and support regenerative practices. My approach today is based on: Practical experience in garden care and plant maintenance Understanding how climate, soil, and plant selection influence long-term results A commitment to careful, detail-oriented work and respecting the space I am maintaining In short — my training is rooted in hands-on practice, environmental work, and real-world garden care, not just theory.
