Simon and his team were excellent! They followed my instructions very carefully and even did a bit extra work to help me, an 8mo pregnant woman, out with the mess. I just needed things to be a little neater and clean for me to be able to organize better and they helped me so much. My bathroom is basically sterile and they got rid of the giant mountain of garbage I had that I could not take out myself. I highly recommend this very professional and punctual company and will certainly be hiring them in the near future!

It was nice but I wouldn't really consider it a deep clean. Would have been very happy if it was advertised as a standard clean and a bit cheaper. the price made me assume there would be a greater attention to details. There was sticky residue after they cleaned a few surfaces, they missed sweeping dirt in a few rooms, and some cabinets weren't wiped off on the outside.
4 out of 5 because despite this I would have gladly paid again for the same service if it wasn't advertised as a deep clean and was priced $75 less.
They did some great organizing and got a few really weird stains out though!

STAY AWAY. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company for floor refinishing or installation.
I hired Simon and his crew to refinish my hardwood floors while I was preparing my home to be staged and photographed for sale. Unfortunately, the finished floors looked worse than they did before the work started. The result was so poor that I ultimately had to hire another flooring company to redo the work.
To Simon's credit he acknowledged that the work was not done properly. I later sent him videos showing the new company correcting and redoing their work, and he responded apologizing that the floors had to be redone. In another message, he said the other crews job looked good, I have included a screenshot of that exchange with this review.
What surprised me was that at least one member of his crew apparently believed the original work looked excellent. That was concerning because the problems were obvious enough that another flooring company had to come in and start over.
There were several warning signs that, in hindsight, I should have taken more seriously. They appeared to have very little of their own professional flooring equipment and rented equipment from Home Depot. I initially overlooked this because I wanted to give Simon and his company an opportunity to prove themselves based on the quality of their work.
This experience also raises serious questions for me about how Thumbtack vets or represents service providers who advertise specialized expertise on its platform. As a customer using Thumbtack, I expected that a contractor presenting themselves as experienced in professional hardwood-floor refinishing would actually possess the necessary skills and experience to perform that work to a professional standard. In my experience with this company, that was simply not the case.
Consumers rely on platforms like Thumbtack partly because they expect some level of accountability when hiring professionals they don't already know. If contractors can advertise themselves as specialists in a trade without having the demonstrated expertise necessary to perform that work competently, then customers need to be extremely careful about relying on a profile alone.
I would strongly encourage anyone hiring through the platform to independently verify a contractor's experience, ask for recent examples of comparable work, confirm what professional equipment they use, and speak with previous customers before allowing them to begin work.
I paid Simon and his crew in full (including a $600 extra) despite being extremely dissatisfied with the final result. I did so because I recognized the amount of time and physical effort the crew had put into the job. One evening, they worked until approximately 11:00 PM. Unfortunately, working long hours does not compensate for a lack of experience or a poor finished product.
The professionalism of the crew was also disappointing. In one incident, while I was away, a member of the crew went into my refrigerator without my permission. He later had the audacity to make a comment to me about a dish he had seen inside my refrigerator. I found that completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
Ultimately, I paid this company in full and then had to pay another company to correct and redo their work. That is about as bad an outcome as a homeowner can have when hiring someone to refinish floors.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend hiring an experienced flooring professional with the proper equipment, demonstrated expertise, and a portfolio of successfully completed refinishing projects. Do not simply rely on how a contractor presents themselves on a platform. Ask questions, verify their experience, and look closely at previous refinishing jobs.
I wish I had done that from the beginning.
