Private Yoga Instruction
Lola is a wonderful teacher who is patient, compassionate and intuitive of her student's needs. I have been a student for over 6 months now and can see a significant improvement in my body & mind thanks to Lola's deep knowledge of yoga. I love her spiritual and healing approach to yoga and she always shares additional resources with me to deepen my knowledge about the practice.Mar 7, 2018Verified
Private Yoga Instruction
My husband is a complete novice and while I have some experience in yoga - I don't know much. Lola not only helped us feel completely comfortable, but made us more excited to practice in the future. She incorporated meditation and visualization and really listened to our needs and desires for the session. I am very much looking forward to hiring Lola again. Wonderful instructor!Jan 5, 2017Verified
Lola is a wonderful teacher and her classes and her support helped me overcome a very painful mobility issue with my spine. Yin yoga saved me and Lola inspired me to keep going. I will always be grateful to her for introducing me to this practice!Feb 1, 2017
I've taken classes from Lola for years, both her Vinyasa classes, Yin classes and Vinyasa classes that incorporate Forrest Yoga methodologies. No matter the size of the class or the focus her attention to each student, flow of the class and variety of asanas is outstanding. Lola always stays true to the origins of yoga as a whole and reminds her students to detach from their ego, remain observant of what they are feeling and is not afraid to talk about the depth, power and meaning of awareness, spirituality, consciousness or stillness in her classes. Regardless of your "level" of practice I highly recommend Lola's classes!!!!!Mar 1, 2014
Lola's spiritual, traditional approach to teaching yoga has been the most rewarding experience for me and my practice.Mar 16, 2014
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will send you a new student intake so I can learn more about your needs and goals. Our first session is to get to know each other a bit better. I will put you through a series of poses and exercises to better understand your physical and mental/emotional nature, and from there, will begin to design a curriculum to help you meet your needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am constantly updating and up-leveling my education and teaching practice. I attend continuing education training at least twice per year. I have 1,000 hours of training in yoga, several hundred hours of training in bodywork modalities, and am a Reiki Master. I have over 2,500 hours teaching experience and teach professionally full-time.
- How did you get started doing this type of work? All my life I have been a student of the mind-body-spirit. Since I was a child, questions of "where does our soul go when we die?" fascinated me. Since I was a little girl, I was always curious about the human experience, human emotions, and the body. I am a very kinesthetic person, and teaching yoga and doing hands-on healing is a perfect way for me to explore my fascination with the mind-body-spirit.
