Sweet 16: Nice table setup, but very unhappy about the rest. If it weren't for the photobooth and DJ I hired on my own, the party would have been a disaster. She ordered the cake. After trying to raise the price $100 after initially giving me a price... The name on the cake wasn't even my daughters. She said sorry, she never checked it. I paid $140 for decorations and there weren't any aside from two balloon columns. It was supposed to be a balloon arch with her name across the top and wall decor. I did a majority of the ordering myself: food, invitations, limo, dinnerware, DJ, favors, candy for the buffet, as when I checked various sites and stores I realized I can get items much cheaper than the price she was giving me. I purchased extra things for a special setup at the kids table as I have younger children and nieces and nephews; all those things remained in a box and never setup; a waste of money. All guests were supposed to sign a t-shirt for my daughter as a keepsake. Guess what, that never happened either. Most of the party she sat down and did nothing. I went to talk to my daughter by the drink table and slipped and fell. After my daughters friends tried helping me up, she finally got up to help. Mind you her sister sat on a chair the whole time and laughted as she seen me fall. Then she had the nerve to say it's wet because her juice spouts leaked... Seriously!? Didn't cleaning it up, or look for a wet floor sign, or better yet bring supplies that actually worked ever cross her mind? She was supposed to do clean up and she asked MY DAUGHTER and her friends to clean up chair covers, the stage, and pile up the chairs. I purchased food and when it came time to eat I was asking for specific items I desired to eat and it turns out she had trays of food behind the bar. Did I purchase food to be hidden/wasted? She promised my daughter a "purple martini" to go with her theme. I bought martini cups and all. Came to party time and she mixed Hawaiian Punch with Sprite... So it was red... Very disappointing. This was a very ghetto experience. Seems to me that she tried to pocket some of the money for supplies, services, items that she said she would arrange. Not one thing matched in cost. She sold me a nice event but when it came to the party date it was excuss after excuss. For my other daughters party next year I would definitely take another route for event planners.
