- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Inspection fees vary based on the number of units, square footage of the property and type of inspection. Staten Island 1 & 2 Family is $300 + $.06 per square foot of living space Bronx, Brooklyn & Queens 1 & 2 Family is $325 + $.07 per square foot of living space Long Island 1 & 2 Family (only as far as Jones Beach) is $350 + $.08 per square foot of living space NYC 1 & 2 Family (this is not firm or finalized) $375+$.08per square foot of living space The above pricing also applies to Multi-Family buildings + $25 for each apartment over 2 with central heating and $45 with separate heating

EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE. The most important thing to look for is experience and training. After that is the ability of the inspector to communicate with you on your level.
