- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Average per person price for: (food only-service fee is separate) Cocktail Parties: $25 to $50 Dinner: $60 to $200 (including several passed hors d'oeuvres and multiple courses) Lunch: $20 to $60 Service fees: varies per area. Typically $35 per hour for each server, more for Chefs, Philadelphia and Manhattan have higher rates. PERSONAL CHEF RATES (weekday meals): $250 (local) to $450 (NY and Philly) per half day depending on your area. Usually this means several meals for a family of two to five. The cost of groceries would be additional. On-site extended evening hours including serving the meal would entail an additional fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would send a quote to the client and establish pricing and menu details. I am happy to do a site tour whenever possible, and examine the potential work area and layout.
