- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies for custom cakes. There is generally a base price just for servings and minimal design. The serving size used most to figure out how many a cake will serve are based on wedding sized slices, which are approximately 1 inch by 2 inch slices. Once the base price is set, the design of the cake determines what other costs are added. The more elaborate the cake and more ingredients and work that go into it, the more expensive the cake will be.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of the time we are called upon to make a child's birthday extra special, however, we are able to complete cakes to accompany other events.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I especially loved creating the 3D Cessna plane, the baby elephant and the double minion smash cake. I'm not sure if it was the challenge to the success that makes those cakes favorites, or just the magnificence of how they turned out. They were definitely far from any of my own expectations.
