It was intimidating, to say the least, but Josh was beyond patient and kind and we hit it off from the start! It’s been very challenging but I can’t imagine where I’d be without him. I understand guitar so much better now and it’s a testament to his skill as a teacher that I’m fully passionate about this now, despite being nowhere near where I want to be yet. That’s because I’m very demanding of myself, and Josh is great at reminding me to stop being so hard on myself and be patient; the results will come. And they have! It's often a struggle to get my kids to practice, and Tom gives them positive incentives to keep them having fun instead of rigid discipline. He gives them a nice varied repertoire with a mix of skill builders, classics, and fun songs of their choice including Star Wars, Harry Potter, and rock artists like the Beatles and Green Day. We're very happy with how our kids have progressed as musicians under Tom's tutelage."See more
