FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I can work with almost any budget by adjusting the scope of work and products to be used, while still providing an end product that my clients will love, that I can be proud of, and that will last long after my last brush stroke is applied.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first step is always to schedule an estimate in person to meet and review the work and the property. I will occasionally ask some questions prior to the estimate, but the in-person estimate and consultation is where I get the information for my cost estimation. At the estimate I provide a written estimate with a detailed scope of work and, usually, am able to agree on a price and schedule the work at that time. I ask for a very small deposit, merely as earnest money, and then a percentage when I begin work and the balance once it's complete. Payment is easy because I accept all forms of payment, and I offer a 3 year warranty on all of my work. My only hope at the end of the job is that my client is so happy that they tell their friends and neighbors and call me back again and again.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I regularly attend trainings and pro shows held by the large paint manufacturers, namely Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore. And I am a member of the Painting Contractors Association, which is dedicated to the education and advancement of painting as a craft and skilled trade.
