In terms of Candy Buffets, the standard industry rule of thumb is 1/2lb of candy per guest. I always add in extra, for its always better to have leftovers : ). Generally speaking, even with all the coupons in the world, quality candy averages about $5.99/lb. Bear in mind if color is important, which it most always is, the candy can be a tricky cost to keep down.
