He provided marriage counseling to us before our wedding 4.10.15. He was very kind to us and wasn't judgmental. He is a man of God and he sowed greatly into our lives. If you need someone reliable he's your guy. He is highly recommended by me.

I chose TJ Walsh Counseling after carefully reviewing a select number of therapists I found either through my doctor's referral or my own research. TJ is someone I knew prior to entering a therapist-client relationship, so part of me felt secure with that, but upon entering this new experience, we put our former knowledge aside and started fresh. TJ is very attentive and listens closely which helped him give me a synopsis of what I was saying to him. I felt confident that he truly was understanding what I was articulating and not once did he shame me or tell me I was wrong in my emotions. His friendly demeanor made it easy to just open up and he was very willing to explore multiple ways to help me help myself. He was very thorough and concise with providing information I needed to know. I have name-dropped him to a few friends already who expressed a need for a therapist and will continue to do so based on my positive experience.

Mr. Moyer has a strong background in drug and alcohol counseling, and his insights were rather helpful. I was able to develop a relapse prevention plan and maintain sobriety largely because of his counsel. Good guy, easy to talk to and he really understands me.

Scott has been an invaluable therapist for me for a few years now. I've gained so many strengths and I've been able to make so many changes under his care and counseling. More recently, if it weren't for him, my situation may have eaten me alive and he was there literally every step of the way to make sure that didn't happen. His methods of therapies are wonderful. He's generous, professional, relatable, relaxing, reliable, consistent, and punctual. My favorite, though, is when he's leading into a breakthrough. He's direct enough to get you there without needing to be too "psycho-babbly". I recommend Scott 12 out of 10 times!

Bishop Parrott has been a blessing from the day I met him. I lost a loved one and he gave spiritual and grief counsel. Every session that I attended was phenomenal! I would recommend Bishop Parrott as a spiritual counselor as well as a leader to those which are lost...

Dr. Brockington is a most dedicated and overall compassionate about the counseling field individual. Her heart of love for people and their lives precedes her, and the passion she has for those she counsels allows them to feel and know that life is truly worth living without the use of drugs.

"I have had the privilege of working with Mary Ann for the past 20 years. She has helped me so much to heal, grow and to love the person I am today. Mary Ann is a great listener; she offers incredible advice and passes no judgment. You can tell her anything and she will embrace you regardless of your issues. She is passionate, gentle and incredibly knowledgeable. She is extremely powerful during the hands on healing process due to her own spiritual journey and the training she has received from some of the best in the world. My journey has taken me from a place of confusion, mourning, and low self esteem to a more self confident and joyous person. Mary Ann is a great person to help through the tough times in life or just to refresh and continue your spiritual journey. Mary Ann is the Best!"

About

As noted by the award-winning nationally and regionally recognized correspondent, television and radio host Jim Masters (of PBS and Close-Up Talk Radio), "effective therapy requires a combination of compassion, skill set and education level, as well as a safe environment in order for clients to share their feelings", and "nowhere is that more true" than with Bill Dougherty. Furthermore, Jim points out that Dougherty "provides a client-centered approach....and I love when I hear that phrase, client-centered ....its all about you, its not one size fits all, it's tailored to you..." With a background in English literature as well as Psychology, I am unique in that I bring a decidedly postmodern perspective to my therapeutic approach. One of the concepts that i utilize is known as Narrative Therapy. The use of this technique encourages and compassionately challenges people to be mindful of the story they’re telling themselves to better utilize their strengths. The words we choose to use can help manifest the changes we hope to bring about. The idea is to encourage the use of more positive words as opposed to negative words. This personalized approach has proven remarkably effective in helping people confront the challenges of their lives to bring about lasting and meaningful change.
