FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had this itch in the back of my brain. It tells me to write. My hand throbs and I start jotting down an idea. I've told stories since I was a child. In middle school, I joined a journalism club, an English club, pretty much any organization that would allow me to put pen to paper. I developed a style and I went with it. I ultimately want to be a professional screenwriter but any writing job that comes in the mean time, I'm more than happy to embrace.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
After graduating in May of 2014, I had a hard time finding any jobs in the area related to film/screenwriting. After doing a little bit of research, I came to realize that web content writing and SEO writing are the easiest ways to break into the freelance world. As of this year, I've been writing web content for SEO companies trying to get their clients to the top of the ranks. Every topic is different and it's a wonderful challenge to figure out how to make it my own.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently did an article about hidden gems of CityPASS attractions. In this article I had to do some research on popular museums and attractions throughout the United States and find some particularly interesting "gems" that visitors might not want to miss. After sending the article, I received very positive feedback. When I sent it in, I knew I had done a great job. If I'm not sure something's going to be the best, I'll keep working on it.
