FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The basic price is $200 for the ceremony, which includes our meeting initially. If you live beyond the Albuquerque/Santa Fe region, If you wish me to travel outside of the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area, I will consider it for an extra fuel charge. There is only the one initial meeting to discuss your ceremony and vows, and then we email and text one another to clarify and adjust any necessary planning strategies for getting the ceremony you want, and, if desired, a rehearsal before the wedding.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will meet to discuss your plans for the ceremony and vows. If you would like to write your own vows, you may want to share them with me one on one, away from your beloved, before your ceremony. I also have examples of many different vows and ceremonies, as well as dozens of examples of opening remarks that I've given, examples of different styles and techniques that many couples have chosen in the past. At the time of booking, one-half of the fee is due. The remainder of the fee is payable on the wedding day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I first studied English Lit at the University of Texas. Later on, I went back to college and obtained degrees in Nursing. I have worked as a professional Registered Nurse for over 35 years, most recently as a Hospice Manager. Experienced with every type of family, ethnicity, and relationships, I am comfortable working with anyone. I am licensed by the State of New Mexico as a wedding officiant.
