George Whorley has absolutely no integrity or work ethic. He is being criminally investigated on his work practice. It turns out a handyman is not able to charge more than 500. for his services. George is doing construction without a contractor's license. The legal deposit for any work done, by anybody, is 10%. Not 50%. Laws were broken right there. I asked him to repair and paint my house fascia and trim. He prepped it. Then sent his worker to paint, in 34 degree weather after it snowed earlier. The next day, the newly painted new wood was blistered all over. I told George. He sent the helper out again. He popped the many blisters. Then painted over it. I asked George again, to come look at it. He assured me, he would "fix it". He sanded and preped. Then, again, he sent his helper out when the temperature was in the 40's. So again, less blisters, but thickly globbed on paint. It had been almost a month, now. This time, George promised he would do it himself. He began. Then just took his ladder and roller that had been there a month, and left. No words, phone call or email. It took three days before I realized he wasn't coming back to finish.

I had George hang a TV Mount for me. He was very thorough and made sure all was mounted properly. I was impressed that he took the time to do it correctly. It was a little tricky in my home, but he made sure he got it right. He was right on time and did the extra work needed to make it right.

George, repaired a whole that my stepson punched in the wall. My stepson had to find a professional to fix it and George did excellent work, Matched the texture perfectly. Thank you for correcting my stepson's error. I believe he learned a great deal today.

Pricing differs on some items, especially for electrical and plumbing, but I try to figure a flat price based on $35 per hr.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet a new customer and give them my card. I like to get to know the customer and to find out what they want done. Then I will do what ever I can do to make them happy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took 2 yrs of schooling in drafting. I started in the construction field as an electrician. From there I did framing and drywall. I worked in new construction with the general contractor building tract homes. I have done trim work and hanging doors. I had my own business doing landscape installations. When I moved to Nevada I did kitchen and bathroom remodels. I have also worked in commercial construction and we're in charge of some of the jobs. I have even worked in property management. I have worked in most forms of construction for 20 yrs.
