FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Receive the device in the lab. Free evaluation, followed by a phone call to verify the recovery is doable and you agree to a fixed price before doing the work. Clean room cases are usually 2-7 days. We then create a sector by sector copy of the failed drive. Save off the recovered data to one of our drives internally in the lab. We keep a 2 week back up. Save the data onto your external device. Verify we have your critical files. Send you a invoice to your email. Return the external device after the invoice is paid.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love people. I will always be in a people business. The start of data recovery for me came from a time when a friend who needed better customer support at his company. My interest grew from there. Finding and restoring pictures and documents that are created to remember, "the good times." When these memories and data are to help you provide for your family, all the more reason to take action. Isn't that why we go to work anyway? Aren't we working to create a life with those that we most cherish? It's no fun to rebuild files after work!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recovered a RAID server for a well know production company. I found out after the job was recovered, the award winning movie I watched 5 months later had the ending footage from the failed server. Cool huh. I think that movie did over 50 Mil the opening weekend. I another case, The customer a Grandma had recorded videos and pictures that included her mom with 4 generations on a once in a lifetime vacation cruise. She was all smiles that this data was able to be recovered. That's what its all about. Joy.
