Denise REALLY KNOWS how to train both dogs and her owners. She did a fantastic job with our puppy. Use her, you won't regret it!Oct 4, 2016Verified
Denise, really cares about your success and the dogs overall happiness. Her philosophy about dogs in the pack situation makes tremendous common sense. I just finished my third session and I'm looking for further enhancement so we are going to do a couple more for now. Denise is very easy going and no pressure. I will enjoy the group pack walks when they begin again. She has earned my highest of recommendations to anyone who is looking!Aug 26, 2015VerifiedAKA Dog Obedience Training's reply

Not only are my dogs better behaved but I was also trained to be the pack leader and everything else fell into place.Denise will focus on what is important for you and not on things that you already have down.I and my dogs are very happy at the results and knowledge we have received. I will gladly recommend her to anyone needing help being the pack leader as you will be happy with the results.Jul 29, 2015VerifiedAKA Dog Obedience Training's reply
Thank You! It was SO much fun working with you and your pups Thelma! Brady and Macy are certainly "personality plus" pups! And are lucky to have you as their calm and assertive Pack Leader :-) I appreciated how you embraced the process and came up with creative analogies that helped YOU relate and understand everything that I threw at you! Keep up the good work and take advantage of the weather changes coming our way in the Fall :-) I am sure that Brady especially will be happy! Denise

Thank You Joyce! You, your husband and your precious Miss Bella were a pleasure to work with! I thoroughly enjoyed watching you and Fred take the reigns in your lives with Bella...she told me that was thrilled and she was even happy even being an older pup that Mom and Dad decided that they wanted to become Pack Leaders after all this time! :-) Keep up the good work and Happy Retirement! I hope that you are enjoying your travels. Denise

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I do not have a "one price fits all" system, but what I do have are options and flexibility for you to choose from. A client will choose from 3 to 8 sessions where I would come to them once a week or once every other week, and each of these "session packages" has a clear and unchanged price. What works for one, may not be a good option for another. I offer a fair range of pricing and packages for you to choose from. You can get started with a lower end range and add on later if this best suits your financial limitations and if there is a need for further instruction. From $270 and up to $720. The good news is that A LOT can be accomplished in a short period of time, and in most cases I work with clients from 4 to 6 sessions with great success in achieving their sought out goals. I do also offer a 2 week Board and Train Program.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The most important part is setting up the consultation. Many people do not know what to expect and are nervous to take the step in seeking help. The consult allows us to get to know each other a little and take the edge off of going through such an unfamiliar process. I can assure you that you'll be nothing less than comfortable working with me :-) You will pleasantly enlightened with information about "pack Leadership" that you thought you already knew or better yet, things that you did not know were even relevant in your everyday life with your dog or pack.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I started in 2003 by attending a program for dog trainers in Florida. I got a ton of hands on experience in the process. Once completing the program, I immediately started up my own business and learned very quickly that a lot of people needed and appreciated my help and expertise. The gratitude and appreciation for what I do is what motivates me to continue doing what I love so much and to always strive to do it even better! I try to stay on top of all information pertaining to my field of expertise. I never stop learning. My personal dogs have always been a big part of my continued education as well as the dogs and people I have as clients. While I specialize in teaching humans about "pack leadership," I have experience in many other areas such as -all levels of obedience - conformation and being in the show ring - rally obedience & agility - treadmill training - proper dog park etiquette - socialization and proper etiquette in public places - exposure to Schutzhund (though not a trainer in this area). - acclimating your dog to water (such as a pool), swimming for exercise And most recently, my personal dog (2 yr old Vizsla) has become certified as a Therapy Dog. Getting my associates degree and studying Psychology has also been very helpful in doing what I love so much.
