FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing reflects the quality, customization, and real-world effectiveness of the training we offer. We’re not the cheapest option — and we’re not trying to be. We specialize in results-driven training that’s tailored to each dog and owner, and that takes time, expertise, and attention to detail. We offer a range of options including: • Private training sessions for obedience or behavior modification • Group classes for structured socialization and reinforcement • Civil protection programs for clients looking to invest in safety and peace of mind Pricing depends on the type of training, the frequency of sessions, and your dog’s specific needs. That’s why we always begin with an initial consultation and evaluation — so we can create a plan that’s both effective and realistic for your goals and budget. No matter the package, our goal is always the same: to provide lasting results, clear communication, and a stronger bond between you and your dog. We believe in transparency, so we’ll walk you through all costs before training begins — no surprises, no gimmicks.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to keep things personal, straightforward, and effective — because every dog (and every owner) is different, and we want to make sure we’re the right fit for your goals. Here’s what working with us typically looks like: 1. Initial Consultation We start with a one-on-one consultation — either in person or over the phone — where we get to know you, your dog, and what you’re hoping to achieve. Whether it’s basic obedience, behavior issues, or civil protection, this step helps us identify the right path forward. 2. Evaluation Session Next, we do a hands-on evaluation to assess your dog’s temperament, drive, and current behavior. This gives us real insight into how your dog learns and responds to different types of communication and correction. 3. Custom Training Plan Based on what we learn, we’ll build a personalized training program that fits your lifestyle and your dog’s needs. We offer private sessions, group classes, or a combination of both — depending on what will give you the best results. 4. Training Begins We begin working with you and your dog regularly — focusing on clarity, control, and confidence. Whether we’re teaching obedience or protection work, our sessions are designed to be clear, practical, and effective in real-world settings. 5. Ongoing Support We don’t just disappear when the sessions end. Our goal is long-term success, so we offer guidance, support, and refreshers as needed. We want you to feel confident handling your dog in any environment. Whether you’re starting with a brand-new puppy or need help with a challenging adult dog, our process is designed to build trust, improve communication, and set you up for success.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training background is a blend of hands-on experience, formal education, and ongoing professional development. Over the years, I’ve earned multiple certifications from accredited programs in areas such as obedience training, behavior modification, and canine communication. These programs have given me a strong foundation in both theory and practical application, especially when it comes to tailoring training to each individual dog’s needs. In addition to my core obedience work, I’ve also completed a specialized Police K9 training course, which gave me deep insight into the structure, drive, and discipline needed for real-world protection work. I’ve also undergone decoy training, which is essential for anyone working in civil protection. It’s one thing to teach a dog to bite — it’s another to understand the why, when, and how that keeps both the dog and handler safe. I continue to build on my education through mentorship, field experience, and seminars, because I believe the best trainers are always learning. This diverse background allows me to confidently work with a wide range of dogs, from high-drive working breeds to anxious family pets, and deliver clear, effective results every time.
