Julieta Vasquez has been tutoring my husband and I in Spanish for the past few months. I have nothing but praise for her professionalism, punctuality and preparedness. She customizes our lessons for our individual needs. Not only is she an excellent tutor, she is a very nice and witty woman. I recommend her highly.

As an adult student returning to the educational system after many years I was completely lost. Seeking out a tutor was the best decision I made. I have had and opportunity to work with Zend and my writing skills have improved. In my first class I earned an A grade on my mid term and on every essay paper. I consistently had the highest marks in the class. My final grade in the class was an A. I cannot say enough good things about resourcing a tutor and asking for assistance. Zend has proven to be a strategic partner in my learning experience.

Gigi has done my taxes the last couple years. She gets the done quickly and accurately. She has also helped my grandson with his numbers and letters. Worked with him on his math skills also. She has a lot of patience and always makes it fun for him. She is a great person to work with!

My daughter is taking Spanish in high school. When I found eva I didn't realize how worth it it was to find a tutor. She gets the highest grades in her class when she was failing before. Her prices are affordable and you can't beat them.

About

I do private tutoring in my Evanston home or your home or office! A former professor at Loyola University and Truman College, I am currently teaching part-time at Westwood College. I have a B.S. in Psychology, an M.A. in ESL (English as a 2nd Language), and an ABD (all but a dissertation) towards a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, all from the University of Illinois, Champaign. I have been teaching ESL, English Literature, Educational Psychology and English Rhetoric for over 30 years at the college level, have taught remedial English at the college and high school levels, subbed for District 65 in Evanston, and privately tutored children in ESL at Buffalo Grove Elementary school, as well as children and adults privately in their homes for many years. I also owned and operated my own English school with two locations, one at Kimball and Lawrence, and one on Golf Rd. in Skokie, so I have administrative and curriculum design experience. My second language is Spanish and I am fluent. 3 summers ago, I taught the ESL Summer Program at North Park University, and taught Freshmen English and Developmental English in the fall at Triton College. I've taught ESL classes in grammar, writing, conversation, pronunciation, reading, literature, and speaking and listening at Harold Washington College, National-Louis University, DeVry University, Benedictine University, College of Lake County, Morton College, Triton College and Oakton Community College. I am looking for private individuals who wish to improve their grammar, writing, pronunication and conversational skills, or prepare for TOEFL. Call me, Marcie, or send an e-mail. Why pay $100 per hour to a company who hires someone like me when you can hire me and eliminate the middleman? Rates: In my Evanston home: $45 per hour, 2 hour minimum; 6 or more hours per week, $40 per hour. Flexible on rescheduling and missed appointments, no penalty. Make it more affordable: $35 per hour if you pay in advance for 10 lessons with 24 hr. advanced notice of class cancellation required or you pay for the appointment.
