We are in the process of relocating from Loma Linda, CA to Summerlin, NV and found Eddie on Thumbtack. He was able to accommodate us as we were only in town for 2 days, installing 8 indoor ceiling fans and 3 pendant lights today. He's coming by early tomorrow morning to install 3 outdoor ceiling fans, adjust a dining room light and switch out the recessed lights installed by our builder. Eddie was extremely professional and it was obvious he takes great pride in his work. We will be hiring him for additional work in the near future. Eddie may not be the cheapest bid you get but I can guarantee his work is the best out there and the old saying "you get what you pay for" definitely applies. Eddie comes with our highest recommendation - AAA+ professional service!
I was amazed with the service he provided. Very professional polite and nice and did an amazing job installing our ceiling fans and light fixtures. We will be using this service anytime we need a handyman.
The glass in my front door was broken. The landlord informed me it was my responsibility to pay for the replacement, so I had to find someone to fix it. I had to look for someone online and was directed to Thumbtack. A few places were recommended to me, I was contacted by Jose with MCR Handyman right away with a quote, I called him and he answered right away. They came the very next day to look at my door and give me an estimate. They seemed to be very nice honest people. They took a long time to look at the door and find out what it would cost to fix it, they called glass companies. They removed the old glass to take it to the company so they could get the right replacement, and also because the sharp pieces were dangerous to leave like that. I called my landlord again to discuss options for the door, when the landlord finally got back to me they informed me they would pay to fix the door after all, which is not what they said before, so I couldn't hire MCR Handyman to fix the door as they used their own people.
There aren't enough positive words in the English language to describe how wonderful and downright AWESOME Jeff is! He knows his stuff, and is such a pleasure to work with. Jeff mounted two televisions, shelves, light fixtures among other things at my home. He is through and a true professional. He knows everything about everything. I highly recommend him. Thanks so much, Jeff!!!
I hired AJ Cuba Electronics to switch out some light switches. He was punctual and completed the job as anticipated. I would hire again.
Amazing job! Would recommend to everyone I meet. Installed 3 lights, 3 fans and was great company! You won't make a mistake hiring him.
I accepted Gil's proposal based on the fact that he mentioned he had no overhead, like the bigger, more corporate companies, and therefore could be more fairly priced around my budget. I was very specific about everything I wanted to do, during our meeting, and I even wrote down an agreement with a list of everything I expected. I mentioned that I would like to physically go along with him to buy paints and baseboards, when it came time. We agreed on 30% upfront and 70% upon proper completion of all listed work. I'll list my experiences by positives and negatives: -Positives: Gil is quick to respond to messages and texts, he offered ideas as to how we could tackle the project. He's got a gentle soul, and he's a nice and respectful person. Our agreement in summary: Pop corn removal/texture application, includes planning, equipment, materials, area prep, roll/finish texture (Orange Peel) Every ceiling removed of pop corn. Wallpaper Removal/Glass removal. Includes everything plus setup and cleanup. Interior House Painting, scrape, sand, patch holes, defects, roll/spray or brush all walls, and all ceilings removed of wallpaper. Everything included, except cost of paint (which we were going to buy together) Knocking down 2 walls, to open up the rooms (Kitchen and livingroom/diningroom installing baseboards around the whole house. I gave him 30% as agreed. The first issue is, some wallpapers weren't removedas agreed, in the dining room, they were painted over instead, and when i realized this, I brought it up to Gil. He did rectify the issue, but I was sore at the fact that it wasn't done properly the first time around. The kitchen wall wasn't torn down and opened as I requested, and Gil mentioned that there was a load bearing issue. I feel others have done this successfully, and he should have been able to offer a solution, instead, we turned it into a window/bar situation, (which added costs, because now I had to hire someone else to make a bar, and i wasn't given a break on the price) The job took a lot longer than I was promised. I Hired gil on May 5th, and it wasn't completed until around the 19th. The master bedroom wasn't all done to satisfaction, because of some unforeseen circumstances, and all the mirrors which I'd mentioned to be disposed off, are still in my garage, and I believe Gil has left it up to me to dispose of them, which wasn't our agreement The spray painting was good enough, but every single door frame has paint unevenly bleeding into its edges. I don't feel proper prep time was dedicated to the edges and lines. I've had to hire someone else to come paint the frames, to clean them up. The wallpaper removal was very impressive, and I bet time consuming. He removed all the wallpaper as requested, the only issue I see with that is, the surface wasn't smoothed out properly, and some areas on the wall especially towards the floor, are a little rough. Altogether, commendable work. The baseboards weren't painted before installation, and I wasn't informed that this would make it difficult to paint, in the future. Having hired someone else to do the painting, it costs so much more. The installation was fantastic, everything fits, and everything is smooth, and properly caulked and ready for painting. I was never told when the paints were bought, yet, i had to reimburse for the purchases, and I still haven't found any of the cans. -The closets weren't prepped properly, and have uneven paint lines going to them, and at the corners and edges, the pop corn texture still shows. I think if they were not going to paint the closets, they should have covered it properly. Although some things were left in less than good condition, for the most part, everything was done beautifully, we didn't go over my budget, but we also took short cuts on some things that were agreed, mostly because I felt they took a little longer than I'd hoped, and by the end of it all, I was just ready for them to be done, so I could get back to my life. Overall, I'm satisfied with the job that was done, for the budget.
I hired Handyman Matters to do backsplash in my kitchen. Rob did an excellent job. I am very pleased and would definitely use this company again in the future.
Mike cane in , hung my lights, no complaints about the high ceilings. Highly recommended
This was a pretty complicated light install due to the fixture we purchased and the face we were trying to not repaint a bathroom (so we were fitting it over a spot where a different fixture sat). He did a great job and was reasonably priced for a big job.
External light installed. Great job done. Licensed....
We had Robert do a whole house remodel. M&R services repaired Sheetrock damage in the home, painted the ceilings, walls, closet, garage. They installed baseboards, hardwood flooring (not laminate,) tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms, and carpeting in the bedrooms. They also did an epoxy flooring in the garage. An extended set of double crown molding was installed. Six ceiling fans were installed and light fixtures throughout the house were updated. An evaporative cooling unit was installed in the garage. Kitchen cabinets were replaced with lights mounted underneath. I love the way the work was completed. Robert and his crew were polite and helpful in explaining the process. They were always on the lookout for small things which can hold up the process. I will utilize Robert and his crew on my next home project.
They changed a light fixture in my laundry room. They were prompt and worked well together.
I had a number of projects around my new house that I needed help with and found Jeremy Bertrand of Knight Carpentry & Construction through Thumbtack. Jeremy was absolutely wonderful. He accomplished everything from moving curtain rods that had been hung in the wrong place to repairing walls with anchors left in them to installing a dimmer switch and bathroom fixtures. He was extremely punctual, polite and a perfectionist in his work. He's also very experienced in home building and remodeling and able to do all types of repairs and remodeling in the home. I highly recommend him.
Hired to do two electrical projects. Showed up on time, very polite and courteous. Project #1 - trouble shoot power outage. Problem was resolved swiftly and professionally. Cost very reasonable. Project #2 - I purchased a indoor floor fountain for my foyer. Wanted new dedicated outlet and switch. Project was completed swiftly, professionally and as quoted. Clean up was outstanding. No sign that any drywall work was done. Happy, Happy, Happy. Filllipe is awesome.
Service is Good. Did all the work said in quote and also performed extra work. Very reasonable price. i would recommend him
Great service. I have used this guy for a number of years as a handyman. He has done jobs around my house; such as fixing my refrigerator, dishwasher, and dryer. He has installed some ceiling fans and light fixtures too. Always pleasant and professional arriving always in a timely manner. I would recommend this guy to anyone and have.
Frank gave me a fair quote on installing tile in my kitchen. I was impressed with his quality of work and contracted him to completely gut & remodel my 20 year old bathroom. The demolition consisted of 3 nasty layers of linoleum, removing fiberglass tub/shower and removing tiolet. After six previous bids/quotes that were outrageous and expected 50% down before even beginning any work, I'm glad I chose Hansen Construction, for the following reasons: Was on time & worked full days Kept work area clean & protected carpet & surroundings Did not waste expensive materials Gave excellent decorative concepts & ideas Flexible & patient the couple of times the plan changed Picked up & delivered heavy supplies Completed pedestal sink, tiolet, bathtub plumbing, drywall, detailed tile & mosiac pieces, light install & painted. My remodel turned out to be more than I expected. Hire with Confidence!!!
