Christina has been, quite arguably, the best French instructor I have ever had. She makes sure to integrate reading, writing, listening and speaking into every session. She teaches using materials specific to your interests. For example, I am currently reading Harry Potter in French which I absolutely love. It really motivates me to better my language skills. Please do not hesitate to work with her! You will not regret it!

Mrs. Haynal is such a caring and creative teacher. She truly wants her students to become successful readers and has an amazing way of tailoring her activities to the students' learning styles, so that school becomes a more positive and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend her if you have a student that is struggling with reading.

Our daughter was struggling with reading at grade level and we knew she needed professional tutoring over the summer. Kayla was the answer to our prayers! Our daughter's reading aptitude and fluency increased dramatically over the coarse of 5 weeks (2 sessions per week). Most importantly she's having fun while learning because Kayla knows how to teach children in fun and engaging ways that motivated my daughter to do her best and excel! Thank you Kayla with all of our heart!

      About

I tutor students (ages 5 and up) in the Las Vegas area, who have difficulty in reading and spelling due to dyslexia, learning disabilities, or just delay in learning. After determining through a screening, if the barton system will help, we will begin a minimum of 2 days per week and 50-minute lessons. I have seen improvements in less than a month with some students.

I take great pride in providing high-level professional services, be it in the fields of teaching, tutoring, writing, editing, and/or ghostwriting. I like the variety of working of different kinds of assignments, not always doing the same thing.

      About

My work stands out for a number of reasons. Most importantly is the diversity of my portfolio - what all I do and how I do it. I write and edit pieces for print and web, and have been published in various magazines. I have been asked to write for a number of different audiences, as well. Being able to understand the difference between them and then write in a manner that appeals to them is a skill that is often overlooked by most writers and editors. How often have you opened an instruction booklet, in order to help you put something together, only to discover that you couldn't understand a word of what the writer was trying to convey?

      About

As the mother of 2 dyslexic son, I know what it's like to struggle daily to help your children with homework and not know how to help. Today, I am trained to teach students phonetically in the Ortin-Gillingham method. It never ceases to amaze me how easily students with learning disabilities can learn to read, spell, add, subtract, etc., with the right tools! Does your child or an adult you know struggle to read rapidly or accurately? Can your child read, but have great difficulty sounding out unknown words despite being taught phonics? Does your child spend hours studying for spelling tests, yet cannot retain words from week to week? Does your child have trouble spelling when writing sentences or stories and even forget his or her high-frequency words such as like, because, friend, does? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, I can help. I am a reading and spelling tutor specializing in dyslexia. 1 in 5 Americans have dyslexia although many go undiagnosed. Within as little as one month, many students see an improvement. Some students have improved as much as 3 grade levels in one school year. Early intervention is the best, but it is never too late to get the help you or your child need. The average student attends 2 sessions a week during the school year. During the summer months, if you would like, we can invest more time in moving your student along faster. I tutor students in kindergarten to college. I am the mother of four children, two of whom are ADD and dyslexic. I became educated to tutor dyslexic students and students with similar disabilities out of necessity. The program I use allows me to help students end their frustrations and become capable students who can live up to their full potential. The program I use is a research-based, Orton-Gillingham, multisensory method that involves all of the senses: visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic. The program works on improving the following: * Phonemic awareness by listening to a single word or syllable and break it into individual phonemes. * Spelling through instruction and sight word recognition building upon itself through the entire program. * Fluency by incorporating! This is a repeated reading of decodable words, phrases and connected text. * Vocabulary expanded and enriched through direct instruction and in the context of reading. * Understanding of the English language through instruction of Latin and Greek root words' prefixes and suffixes.
