We are moving out of state and had some old furniture that we just couldn't seem to get rid of. We decided to look on Thumbtack for a removal contractor and had several replies, Rick gave the best quote so we called him. By 8 am the next morning, he had a full couch, a love seat, all the cushions, a full sized recliner, a twin mattress, a twin box frame, a coffee table and two end tables all expertly packed on his one pickup truck and strapped down good...nothing would be flying off. He's a Navy man with a can-do attitude and a really nice guy besides. We aren't done with him, we have more stuff to get rid of before we leave, he will be getting the call. Go ahead and call him, he's not sketchy or weird, he just shows up, shakes your hand with a smile and gets to work. Highly recommended!

Hired Scott to fix holes and paint stucco, concrete removal in backyard and paint over epoxy on concrete. Scott told us exactly how long it would take him to complete the work and he was absolutely correct. He told us what time he would arrive and he was always on time. What a relief to finally have a reliable, professional, and dependable handyman. We are very pleased with his work and have more work for him to do in the future.

I had Jesse power wash my porcelain tile and seal the grout. He did an excellent job. He did not worry about the time it took, he stayed until I was happy with the results. I would recommend him without hesitation. He is a professional.

I accepted Gil's proposal based on the fact that he mentioned he had no overhead, like the bigger, more corporate companies, and therefore could be more fairly priced around my budget. I was very specific about everything I wanted to do, during our meeting, and I even wrote down an agreement with a list of everything I expected. I mentioned that I would like to physically go along with him to buy paints and baseboards, when it came time. We agreed on 30% upfront and 70% upon proper completion of all listed work. I'll list my experiences by positives and negatives: -Positives: Gil is quick to respond to messages and texts, he offered ideas as to how we could tackle the project. He's got a gentle soul, and he's a nice and respectful person. Our agreement in summary: Pop corn removal/texture application, includes planning, equipment, materials, area prep, roll/finish texture (Orange Peel) Every ceiling removed of pop corn. Wallpaper Removal/Glass removal. Includes everything plus setup and cleanup. Interior House Painting, scrape, sand, patch holes, defects, roll/spray or brush all walls, and all ceilings removed of wallpaper. Everything included, except cost of paint (which we were going to buy together) Knocking down 2 walls, to open up the rooms (Kitchen and livingroom/diningroom installing baseboards around the whole house. I gave him 30% as agreed. The first issue is, some wallpapers weren't removedas agreed, in the dining room, they were painted over instead, and when i realized this, I brought it up to Gil. He did rectify the issue, but I was sore at the fact that it wasn't done properly the first time around. The kitchen wall wasn't torn down and opened as I requested, and Gil mentioned that there was a load bearing issue. I feel others have done this successfully, and he should have been able to offer a solution, instead, we turned it into a window/bar situation, (which added costs, because now I had to hire someone else to make a bar, and i wasn't given a break on the price) The job took a lot longer than I was promised. I Hired gil on May 5th, and it wasn't completed until around the 19th. The master bedroom wasn't all done to satisfaction, because of some unforeseen circumstances, and all the mirrors which I'd mentioned to be disposed off, are still in my garage, and I believe Gil has left it up to me to dispose of them, which wasn't our agreement The spray painting was good enough, but every single door frame has paint unevenly bleeding into its edges. I don't feel proper prep time was dedicated to the edges and lines. I've had to hire someone else to come paint the frames, to clean them up. The wallpaper removal was very impressive, and I bet time consuming. He removed all the wallpaper as requested, the only issue I see with that is, the surface wasn't smoothed out properly, and some areas on the wall especially towards the floor, are a little rough. Altogether, commendable work. The baseboards weren't painted before installation, and I wasn't informed that this would make it difficult to paint, in the future. Having hired someone else to do the painting, it costs so much more. The installation was fantastic, everything fits, and everything is smooth, and properly caulked and ready for painting. I was never told when the paints were bought, yet, i had to reimburse for the purchases, and I still haven't found any of the cans. -The closets weren't prepped properly, and have uneven paint lines going to them, and at the corners and edges, the pop corn texture still shows. I think if they were not going to paint the closets, they should have covered it properly. Although some things were left in less than good condition, for the most part, everything was done beautifully, we didn't go over my budget, but we also took short cuts on some things that were agreed, mostly because I felt they took a little longer than I'd hoped, and by the end of it all, I was just ready for them to be done, so I could get back to my life. Overall, I'm satisfied with the job that was done, for the budget.

I had missing dry wall and a bunch of tiles gone after a visit by a plumber. It was a mess. Matt was outstanding. After a series of bad experiences with repair people he was a breath of fresh air. He arrived, he checked out my problem, he gave me an estimate of what the cost would be. Then he went across the street to our neighborhood Home Depot and bought the materials he needed for the job. He returned and worked straight through until the job was done. He was polite and all business. He cleaned up after himself and the price he charged was beyond reasonable. I would have no problem recommending him to anyone and I'm sure that I will use him again myself.

I hired Steve to replace an existing bath tub with a new custom designed travertine shower. Right from the beginning I could tell Steve was a professional. He gave me a firm price quote on the spot and was very transparent about the process. He worked diligently to complete the project in the exact amount of time he estimated. From startup through completion, Steve was very conscientious about maintaining a neat and clean environment. The tile work and construction in general came out beautifully. I would use Steve again or recommend him to my friends without hesitation.

Reference for David Rodriquez David was referred to me by a neighbor who had worked with him. This was about 2005. I contacted David for an estimate on placing tiles throughout my home except for the bedrooms. I purchased the tiles from a local vendor. David’s quote was for the removal of some existing tiles, some carpeting and some linoleum then laying the tiles. David worked for me on this job about 4 weeks, doing an excellent job. When I purchased a used home in 2009 to be used as a rental I called again on David to tile the entire house, sans the two bedrooms. Again, this job took about 3-4 weeks. David is a good worker, always on time and he does not cut corners in his work. He is an excellent craftsman. I highly recommend him and his work. Anyone who uses him will be satisfied.

Tito did a good job, but he didn't exactly use a wet tile saw to cut my glass tiles. There are quite noticeable jagged edges on the cut tiles which are kind of crooked. The backsplash looks good from afar, but if you were to look closely there are some imperfections. But he did a good job covering a missing slab that was on the granite when he removed the 2 inch standard backsplash. Tito showed up on time and was very nice.

I hired Culpepper home services to do texturing of the drywall in my kitchen. Ken came to my home before the service was completed and gave me a quote that was very competitive with other quotes I had received. He was more knowledgeable about the products and application Dan other contractors, so I decided to use his services. Communication with this company was fast and efficient, and I always got a text message or phone call when he was on his way over. The final product looks great and I am excited for my kitchen to have a brand-new look.

For lack of a better term, Harold is most definitely a Full Service contractor! Not only does he absolutely understand what it takes to do the job well, but he does it at the highest level of quality. I needed some rocks removed and grass planted in its place. Harold did that, and then some! I thought the rocks can just be placed at the side of the house. He saw they would serve a better purpose filling out along the edge of the yard where identical rocks were already in place. What a difference! Harold's work transformed my yard into a warm, welcoming, and relaxing place. And on top of it all, he's one of the most honest and nicest people you could hope to meet. I have more jobs planned for Harold because, when you find the best, why keep looking?

James did a great job after I had been ripped off and failed by other contractors who did not know what they were doing. The tile job was very difficult and unique. The floor and shower looks amazing. He also helped with many other issues I had around the house. James was always on time and worked very hard to get the job done, even showing up on weekends. Do not hesitate to call him.

Frank gave me a fair quote on installing tile in my kitchen. I was impressed with his quality of work and contracted him to completely gut & remodel my 20 year old bathroom. The demolition consisted of 3 nasty layers of linoleum, removing fiberglass tub/shower and removing tiolet. After six previous bids/quotes that were outrageous and expected 50% down before even beginning any work, I'm glad I chose Hansen Construction, for the following reasons: Was on time & worked full days Kept work area clean & protected carpet & surroundings Did not waste expensive materials Gave excellent decorative concepts & ideas Flexible & patient the couple of times the plan changed Picked up & delivered heavy supplies Completed pedestal sink, tiolet, bathtub plumbing, drywall, detailed tile & mosiac pieces, light install & painted. My remodel turned out to be more than I expected. Hire with Confidence!!!
