FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer straightforward, competitive pricing and provide fixed quotes whenever the project scope can be determined in advance. Pricing depends on the size and complexity of the project, estimated labor time, materials needed, and travel distance. Discounts may be available when multiple similar tasks are completed during the same visit. For projects requiring customer-provided parts, hardware, or materials, please confirm that the items are correct and compatible before the scheduled appointment. If I arrive for a scheduled project and the work cannot be completed because customer-provided parts or materials are incorrect, incompatible, missing, or defective, a minimum $50 service and travel charge may apply.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by reviewing the details of your project, including photos, measurements, product links or instructions when applicable. I’ll confirm the scope of work, location, materials or supplies needed, and any other important details before getting started. Once I understand the project, I’ll provide pricing and an estimated completion time. I communicate clearly, arrive prepared, and keep the work area organized throughout the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My experience comes from hands-on furniture assembly, household projects, woodworking, painting, and repairs. I’m comfortable reading manufacturer instructions, planning projects, organizing parts and materials, using the proper tools, and identifying important safety requirements. I take time to understand each project before beginning rather than guessing during the work.
