After moving into myhome, I found several repairs, improvements I wanted. These were relatively small, but above my skill level. They ranged from getting broken light bulb out of refrigerator, and replacing with correct bulb, to taking down broken towel rack and putting up 4 new towel racks, repairing wheels on closet door, putting together cabinets and hanging them in laundry area, hanging new medicine cabinets, filling old med cabinet spaces with dry wall and mud, to installing new door bell. Excellent workmanship, easy to schedule, reasonable rates. Thank you for making this experience pleasant.

I spent 3 years looking for a handyman, someone to bring our dryer vent system up to code, and a competent chimney sweep. I found people who were sullen, unfriendly, did just enough to get by and unprofessional. Most of these people didn't even return phone calls. And then two weeks ago, I discovered ONERüF (pronounced One Roof)!! How rare to find a company that is not only responsive, but employs truly skilled specialists who know exactly what they are doing, take pride in their work, and very nice people. Our first experience was when Larry Rickman, Owner of ONERüF sent us Andrew Anthony. Andrew came to the house to evaluate the job and create a proposal. He was friendly, interested and asked insightful questions to identify what needed to be done. His inspection was thorough. In a few days I received an estimate in an E-mail from ONERüF and after I agreed Andrew called to set up an appointment. When Andrew arrived at our house he quickly went to work, he was organized, had the necessary tools, and all the needed components that were to be installed. I watched as he worked and found him to be extremely detailed oriented, knew exactly the steps to be taken to the end result. He accomplished the job in the estimated time, was proud of his work, and explained what he did to accomplish the end result. And all this time although he was focused, he was friendly, smiling, and gentle in his manner. What a pleasure! Our second experience with ONERüF was with a Chimney Sweep, a retired fireman named Bill Haupert. Bill called ahead to let me know what time he would be here. And in the same manner as Andrew, Bill was friendly, very positive in his manner, and developed an immediate and comfortable rapport with me and my wife. This is, without a doubt the most thorough chimney cleaning we’ve experienced. Not only did Bill take all the soot off the chimney cap but he also used a wire brush to it to make it shine. His preoccupation about protecting everything in the room from the dust and soot that had to come out of the Chimney is really appreciated. Again, here is a person who is meticulous in his work, conscious of his surroundings, and still engaging and friendly. He took the grate outside to clean it, and after carefully taping a protective seal around the fireplace to seal it so he could vacuum the debris and caked soot coming to come from the chimney he went on the roof and cleaned the chimney pipe and then thoroughly vacuumed the fireplace. After vacuuming the fireplace, he also washed the walls of the fireplace and adjusted the side plates to ensure it stayed safe, and then washed the brick facade, because it was blackened from use. When he was done he inspected his work to ensure it was as clean as possible and to ensure nothing was left undone, and again like Andrew, was clearly satisfied with what he’d done and explained how he’d accomplished the results. And to top this off, as he shook my hand and said good bye, he let me know he coiled up the hose outside that clearly need coiling and the electrical cord as well. We can’t say enough about how pleased we are with the competent and thoughtful people Larry Rickman sent to our home. The work is first-rate, the prices more than fair and the people a pleasure. We recommend ONERüF without reservation and look forward to an ongoing relationship.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Verify that the provider has proper insurance by requesting a certificate of insurance from them. Proper General Liability insurance will protect your business or home if something would occur. Workers Compensation insurance is a must for any legal business operating in the state of Nevada. If they have no WC insurance are they using sub-contractors (another concern) or are they not a legal business in the state?
