FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a one hour minimum. Typical work hours are as listed, Monday - Friday 9 - 5 pm. Occasionally I have clients need training after 5 or on a weekend. In these cases we can typically work something out.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have my customer tell me what they need. I'll have them show me what they're working with and what kind of problems they experience. While they're clicking and typing and navigating around, I watch how they work. Because there are usually more than one way to do something (such as "copy" an item), by watching how they already work, I instruct them using the skill/method they already use.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Windows, are ever evolving and changing. I find the best way for me to stay on top of the latest versions is to use them and to teach them. My training has been hands on. Using the software. I learn from my customers too. They ask me questions and should I not know the answer, I find out and get back with them. My best days are when I learn something new too!
