Goals
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have been involved in fitness since 1978, and have worked as a professional fitness coach since 2008. I work almost exclusively with adults between the ages of 40 and 75 helping them decrease or eliminate pain, and teaching them how to move better to achieve their goals. I do this through: > Extensive assessments > Soft tissue therapy > Proper core, power, and strength training > Educating them how to eat right for their goals > Emphasizing the importance of recovery Although it sounds cliché, seeing clients improve their total health is extremely rewarding. As I approach 60, I know how important things like balance, flexibility, and strength truly are. Being a fitness coach is a lot more than simply learning how to lift weights. It's knowing, and having the ability to coach others in, the right exercises for their present condition to avoid injury. It's about teaching people that proper nutrition is 80% of the success equation. And it's about establishing a relationship of trust and caring.

I am a 55 y/o, F. I am a former marathon runner, avid kayaker and hiker. Presently, I walk or run/walk (more than run) half marathons - hence, I still consider myself to be athletic and in good shape for my age. Over the years, however; I have noticed a decrease in my strength and balance. After meeting with Don and performing the Functional Assessment, Don created a personal training program designed to target those areas of my body that needed greater strengthening, and we worked on skills to improve my balance. I can honestly say that I noticed an improvement in both my strength and balance, within two weeks. Don's customized and personal approach of coaching me individually through every activity, to be certain I am performing each move or task correctly, is a service I have not found with other "gyms". Also, each week the "routine" is a bit different. I love this one on one technique. I would absolutely recommend Success Health and Fitness to anyone who feels he/she would like to improve any aspect of their overall fitness - athlete or non-athlete.
