- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Begin the design process by listening to the client's needs; visit the project site to note dimensions and any obstacles; draw the project, so everyone involved can visualize the project goal; produce color samples to show finish and it's relationship to the surrounding areas, establish and communicate a reasonable project time line; communicate and coordinate with owner & other trades involved with the project; fabricate, finish and install the product; clean, adjust and discuss the functional use & care of the final product, and verify to the client that their goals were achieved.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
New hardware and finish products are always showing up - usually for the betterment of our industry. It is important to know the changes in the industry and the available products to produce top quality products.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My Dad was a building contractor. I have always had a love for wood, and solving my clients needs.
