Did very good tile job for a backsplash in my kitchen. Was very thorough and knowledgeable and readily available.
Sean is well spoken. He helped us to install a new kitchen faucet and done an excellent job at a reasonable price. Will definitely hired him again.
Parkview did a yard cleanup for me which involved an enormous amount of leaves left from the fall and lots of branches, etc. Extremely pleased with the work and with the customer service I received. Will use them again without hesitation.
Steve is an excellent carpenter and has many other skills as well. He recently put in a small, cast iron wood stove in my kitchen. He made what I thought was going to be a long and painful project go efficiently and smoothly. Included an exterior chimney that meant cutting a hole through the wall. Steve did a beautiful job, and I am so pleased.
Erik has taken on the role of my #1 handyman. He is the guy I now call in case I need ANYTHING fixed or installed. He fixed my kitchen sink, replaced my bathroom sink faucets, fixed an electrical problem that he later found out was dangerous (thank God). He also fixed 2 of our toilets. In a few weeks he is going to fix my back door and weather stripping because the foundation settled and created a space in between the door and frame. Next year, he may be re-doing my concrete deck and making it look more decorative around the pool.
Excellent work performed by AJ. I'm doing a complete renovation, and only have so many hours in the day. I brought AJ in to handle the kitchen cabinet install, and he did an excellent job. He treated the cabinets as if they were his own, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was plumb, level, and ready for countertops. A couple of the walls were a bit wavy, so AJ had to do some scribing as well. Overall I am very pleased and will be using AJ on my next project!
John did a great job for my wife and I. He painted our entryway, downstairs bathroom, and up the stairs through the hallway. He even installed trim upstairs and fixed the molding in the bathroom. We would definitely consider him for future projects.
St Paul's Indian Orthodox Church used Anthony Berrios for two jobs. First job started as a potential toilet installation but turned into installing few shelves, spot light, adjusting a podium etc. The second job was completion of painting. Mr Berrios is very professional and does excellent work. He prides himself on the end result and meticulously works on even minor details. He is prompt and leaves a clean work space. Anthony really helped out in the second job. We had initially selected another contractor to paint the basement of the church. That contractor however left the job undone. I reached out to Anthony who accepted the job and completed the work. We also appreciated that Anthony doesn't consider any job to be too small. Anthony is going to be first contractor we call for our next job.
Adam removed a ceiling from my old kitchen. This revealed hand hewn beams ( from 1850 ). Then he installed beautiful hand painted tin between the beams. He also made the corner trim to finish the look. A huge improvement to make a kitchen fit the period in which the house was built. Adam also recommended an over the stove microwave .This was a great idea to make more room on the counter. In addition we took out the small window & installed a 4 foot garden window. I am thrilled with the result.
It was a pleasure to have greg work on my kitchen counters.
Mr. Gordon was hired to remodel our kitchen. He and his team arrived on time, ready to work everyday. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the concientious nature of his employees. They kept the work area very clean through out the duration of the project. They also came in under budget and ahead of schedule. I was completely impressed and will only use him and his crew for my future needs.
Project: • Complete Bathroom remodel. Gut to studs, remove a small closet partition. Planned Additional: • Install a hot water heater and configure the natural gas plumbing as required • Install a natural gas dryer and configure the natural gas plumbing as required • Hardwired smoke / CO detectors on every floor Unplanned additional: • Structural assessment and installation of a header to carry the weight of free hanging rafters from previous owners remodel. • Upgrading the houses mainline for the plumbing system from ½ to ¾ pipe. (Hot and cold water) Small on the spot fixes FoC • Stuck door repair – fixed several doors that were binding in the house. • Helped remove the dishwasher for servicing • Helped install / repair 2nd bathroom hardware • Helped unload my truck a few times as I was moving stuff over from my apt. Bill and the crew at Freehold Enterprises are nothing short of phenomenal. They have given me a quite high end bathroom for a bargain price, while making sure all the systems and services are safe and up to code. Insured? – Yes, and he had his Insurance Agent email me over proof of insurance within 30mins of it being requested. Courteous?– without fail throughout the entire job. Ethicial and moral?- without a doubt. He is upfront and bluntly honest. He lives the Holmes on Homes motto of “Make it Right” and “Just like I’d do it in my own house.” Communication? – while I was away on vacation in Singapore, he kept me up to date on the projects progress weekly sending me multiple pictures and kept me apprised of any issues. Cleanliness / Concern for the Non work areas – Bill papered and plastic’ed what seems 3/4s of the house in order to avoid any possible scratches to the hardwood floors or dust getting places where it shouldn't be. Any minor cosmetic damage that occurred during his work he made sure were made good; such as pressure washing the back patio where he was working and touching up the trim paint damage from his tape. The project detailed ripping out the existing ½ bath and bathroom closet for the installation of a shower and full bathroom remodel. There was an additional constraint that we would be out of the country for two weeks and wanted the project done while we were gone. Bill contacted me through Thumbtack and was courteous and detailed in his phone survey of the project. He was punctual in his arrival for the on-site job survey and he impressed me with his knowledge and willingness to work with our requirements and budget. We had our written and itemized estimate in hand 3 days later. After reviewing all collected estimates we chose to go with Bill and Freehold. That evening we met at home depot and decided on a color pallet and hardware styles. During the conversation and listening to Bill describe how he planned to stretch our budget, we decided to go ahead and give Bill full design control. The end product did not let us down. We gave him key and went off on our trip. While we were gone, Bill sent us continuous updates with photos explaining what was going on. He handled and repaired several unplanned for issues in stride and kept us updated on those; the header and house leveling for the unsupported rafters and the need to upgrade the mainline for the plumbing. Along the way he handled several other minor things as they came up; some stuck doors, installation of hardwired smoke detectors and some lights, etc. Due to both the planned and unplanned extras, we ran slightly over on time and budget, and had to move in while Bill was still finishing up. He worked with us to create minimal disturbance to our lives and routines. The finished product was worth the wait. His tile design and choices were gorgeous. The bathroom is beautiful and now out classes the rest of the house. We love it. Then to top it all off, since we had gone slightly over budget he was willing to work with us on the final payment. We highly recommend Bill and Freehold for your next project and plan to continue using him ourselves for additional projects on this and other properties. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding this review and project: Stormer@frontiernet.net Sincerely, Jason Emans
Kevin as well as his crew went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. They addressed all concerns as we went as well as gave me valuable advice when needed. Very polite and was very pleased with the outcome of the scope of work they were hired for. From the flooring to install of a very large kitchen layout with crown molding to ceiling. I would give this construction company an A+++ rating and would for sure hire them again. KUDOS.
Replaced ancient vent/heater/light in first floor bathroom. Dealt with ancient ductwork, replacing what was needed to make it all work. Previously used them to find and fix a waste pipe leak from the second floor and replace a water damaged section of kitchen flooring. Prices were good and work was high quality.
Al has worked on our home for the last 16 years. He's done so many improvements which include custom built in bookcases, enclosed porch repairs, new deck, replacement windows and a kitchen remodel. Even if the job is just to install window shades he is on time and his rates are reasonable. We have him check our home when we travel which gives us peace of mind. I highly recommend his work.
Layton was a pleasure to work with and have around our home. We live in an old house where nothing is ordinary, certainly not square! Our kitchen renovations were far from simple; in fact, fully bespoke. Layton said 'no' to nothing, he is an excellent problem solver and, without compromising on time, he's patient in those critical moments of decision making. He went above and beyond the initial job of building our kitchen cabinets, to building our staircase and bannister from scratch, installing our screen doors, bracing our floor boards, and so much more. He allowed me to help with some of the work and I learnt a great deal whilst he was here; invaluable as a new home owner. I can't recommend Layton enough.
We decided to remodel our kitchen and Charles did a very good job. He was professional and kept the work area clean before he left each day. We are happy with the flooring, paint and cabinets. He did what he could to keep is near the estimated cost.
George installed a tile back splash in my kitchen. He did a beautiful job and I'm very happy with the end product. He was always on time. Since I work during the day, he did the job in 3 evenings which was great so I didn't have to take time off from work. He was meticulous in laying the tile. He and his assistants were extremely polite and respectful. The only thing that could be improved on is the clean up. He did OK, but I'm a little fussy about that so I would recommend putting down a drop cloth to make the clean up easier. I would hire George again if I decide to add more tile to my home. It was a good experience.
We do all phases of home improvements, including buildings, garages, pole barns, etc. We have a clean appearance. We aim to please.
