I hired Mike for voice coaching for my 10 year old son. He was fun and easygoing and really put my son at ease. I noticed a huge improvement in my son's singing- and more importantly his confidence- after only 2 sessions. He nailed his audition and got the part he wanted.

I have been studying classical piano and voice with Maria Todaro since spring 2010. When I became her student, I was 68 and newly retired as a university faculty member and administrator. I hadn't played piano since I was 12 and had never taken voice lessons. No matter that I was a beginner, from the start Maria treated me as a serious musician, even before I saw myself that way. She always pushed me to do my best while also being supportive and encouraging. While taking lessons with her, I also joined a chorus she directed and as a result was able to sing in Pucchini's Madama Butterfly and Verdi's Otello as well as in performances for the community. At the piano, I am playing works by Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin. After a lifetime in higher education, my passion now is music and I owe that to Maria. I should add that Maria is herself a very accomplished and talented opera singer and pianist. I believe her success as a teacher comes directly from her own deep understanding and love of music.

Whether you have decided to play the guitar or are a player who has decided to become serious about being a skilled player, I would like to recommend that you give peak music lessons a test drive. I have been playing for over 40 years with varying degrees of commitment. I have taken many lessons from several teachers and players over the years. I have never achieved the results that I have with peak music. My playing has improved dramatically on multiple levels. The lesson program produces results. With techniques and lessons that concentrate on the individual and their specific needs. I have been surprised at the level of improvement that I have achieved. By teaching the professional way to position and pick, my picking hand is dramatically quicker and cleaner. I am playing pieces that I previously would not have attempted before. I am looking forward to continuing my lessons and I feel my progress is bringing me the results I have been looking for. I recommend peak music lessons without any reservations. Mike V.

Corie has done my make-up for multiple events. She has an incredible capability to enhance a person's features, embrace their vision, and create an amazingly beautiful look that compliments a person's natural beauty. Every time I worked with her, I felt more confident than ever, and ready for photo-ops thanks to her skills.

Steve has been giving me voice lessons (baritone/bass) roughly weekly for four years. He has helped me improve my singing in many ways including development of a free sound, better vowel quality, use of vibrato (aka "movement"), fuller breaths, and attention to musicianship. Steve also has been patient and adaptable. I do not practice very much outside of lessons and am not open to solo performance, but Steve is willing to work with those limitations. He also has been flexible regarding travel, teaching me at my workplace. Steve's relaxed, low-key style and clever exercises put me at ease and help me to do my best singing. I strongly endorse Steve as a voice teacher.

About

As a professional performing artist/teacher, I teach my students the value of vocal longevity through a variety of exercises. When the students are confident in using their techniques, they are then able to apply them to any style of singing comfortably and with much joy. I am a former opera/concert singer having studied in the best European institutions and performed in the best theaters across Europe and America. Having taught in schools, colleges, and currently in my private studio, I have discovered that a person does not need to be born a singer to sing and even sing well, as many of my students can testify! My vast accumulation of insights gained from world-famous artist teachers and coaches has helped me in my vocal approaches that bring out the hidden and the best in the human voice. Just try me!

About

I would provide services in teaching beginners piano, beginner to intermediate clarinet lessons, and beginners vocal. I am also willing to tutor students in music at the elementary and secondary school level. This just means that if you don't know music and want to learn, no matter how young or old, I am willing to teach you. I have had numerous hours of volunteering teaching students in elementary and middle school music during the summer. I also taught music as an assistant music director for the Capital Repertory Theater's STAR Program (Summer Theater at the Rep) in which I taught vocal lessons along with the music director and transposed and distributed music. I had taught there for 2 years.

I have taught kids swim lessons before, and I am certified by Red Cross with a lifeguarding and water safety certificate, as well as CPR and First Aid training/ certificates. I have also given Piano and Voice lessons before and will be attending music school in the fall for opera studies to further broaden my studies in music. I am not just opera based, although that is the best thing for my voice. I also teach jazz, pop, and healthy musical singing! Singing should be something that is always fun, and freeing, so why not learn how to do it in the most comfortable, fun, and healthy way possible? As a teacher, I will recognize what my client would like to work on (whether it be a style of music, music history, music theory, or even basic piano lessons), while hopefully providing valid insight on how to really engage one's voice healthily. Voice lessons are very affordable (first 30 minute session free). Although I have given voice lessons at a regular rate before, I really would like the opportunity to meet new people and hopefully help them explore the amazing opportunities and fun times that go along with singing!
