Introduction: As a guitar instructor, I've been playing and performing for over 20 years. I enjoy taking the time to share what I know. As an ESL instructor, I like to make the learning fun by applying different activities and interests which are relevant to the learner, based on their needs and requests. I take a genuine interest in the student's progress and conduct a patient, stress free manner of teaching. Watching the learner get excited about their progress and discovering new and fun ways to keep the learner engaged and enthusiastic. Most of all, being able to watch the learner progress from one step to the next.

She used to be my ESL teacher for 5 years. She is a wonderful, dedicated teacher.I really had hard time to speak English when I first came to the US from Japan. She helped & encouraged me a lot. She gave me all kinds of English lessons e.g. basic pronunciation, reading & writing daily sentences to formal letters. I think I improved so much by her lessons. I am now successfully working as a researcher at Stanford. I am thankful to her for being my teacher.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Through life experience. I've been playing music for over half of my life, so it only seemed natural to take what I know and share with others. In regards to ESL, I decided to become certified through The New School's program because I wanted to do something that was useful and help others.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What one learns is what one puts into it. While learning something new can be challenging at times, keeping the learning experience fresh is something I strive to do in the interest of the student.
