Introduction: I'm a personal trainer based in the New York metro area ready to help you reach your fitness and physique goals. I have been training for ten years and enjoy working with a wide variety of clients: kids and teens, seniors, those with special needs, dietary restriction and post injury rehab and strengthening. I love working with people and value all of my clients. I work both in gyms (semi private in Queens and Manhattan and building/home gyms) and virtually. In my training I employ movements that build structural integrity, strength and a symmetric physique and scale them appropriately to the client's abilities. I believe form is paramount to training safely and effectively. As a type one diabetic and celiac, I also have a unique and extensive background in nutrition and various diets, and have helped create better dietary habits and strategies consistent with client goals and lifestyles. If you are a self starter who wants guidance and accountability OR are simply looking for a more budget option, I offer online coaching as well. The price for this service ($120) is on a PER MONTH basis. With this service you receive a unique exercise plan, nutrition plan/review of your current nutrition, weekly check ins, form checks, and on the fly adjustment of your routine and diet based on schedule, goals, lifestyle and progress. Amazing! Truly an incredible trainer. Very hands on and patient and kind. He's very easy to talk to and knows how to explain the workouts in such a way that even the complete beginner can do them, and have the confidence to do them alone when need be. Very good with working with your schedule and knows how to form the perfect workout regimen for your body and health goals. He's incredibly knowledgeable on the body and you can tell that he's passionate about what he does just from chatting with him for a few minutes. I can't recommend this trainer highly enough

I had a back injury and became terrified of working out. I needed someone who could push me while be knowledgeable of my limitations. Not only does John have extensive knowledge of proper workout techniques, but is also able to explain things where I can understand what I am supposed to do. Numerous times, I would be surprised how much a difference a small adjustment from John can make! I am able to move and excersise confidently after John's coaching and guidance. John is very accommodating with my variable schedule and tailors all the workouts to my needs. I highly recommend John if you are looking for someone who will guide you through an awesome workout experience!

John your an amazing personal trainer when I did believe in myself you gave me the courage to continue my workouts even when I wanted to give up due to the fact that I’m obese... you really help me to look at food like my friend not my enemy... you made it fun and interesting to develop healthy choices... choosing you as my first personal trainer and just starting this weight loss journey is the best thing for me.... you are the true definition of people person.... John is an excellent trainer! He is patient, takes his time showing you how to properly position for all exercises, and aims for slow but steady gains. He never overwhelms you with the intensity of his exercises, but gradually builds up your confidence and your strength. He varies his exercises to incorporate both strength building and cardio endurance, as well as between upper body, lower body, and full-body routines. He is very knowledgable about diet, and he always checks up on what I've been eating and how much sleep I've been getting. He's also a very nice guy! And very smart. If you are like me, not only will you, within a month or so, see improvements in your physical abilities, but you will look forward to spending time with him.

I trained with John for months and he really helped me get back into shape after taking a long time off from the gym. John was very good about keeping the workouts interesting with different exercises and not falling into a routine. I highly recommend him.
