Introduction: My name is Alejandra and I’ve been teaching piano for over 17 years in New York. My goal as a teacher is to share my love of music with my students. Piano lessons shouldn’t feel like a chore or something a child is being forced into. Playing piano should be fun and something you look forward to and it’s my job to show my students the magic of music. My 10 years old son loves his piano lesson. Alejandra is amazing. My son asked her to show him how to play “happy birthday “ to surprise me on my birthday. She went above and beyond to make sure he learned how to do it. She spent the whole hour teaching him even though it was so last minute. She is very enthusiastic and cool. We like her a lot. Give her a try, you won’t be disappointed!

I started lessons with Dr. Diaz-Acosta as an older student. My confidence level for learning was low as I was not advancing with my previous teacher. In a short amount of time I felt more relaxed with her teaching method and looked forward to practicing and lessons. I highly recommend her.

Alejandra is a warm, friendly and patient teacher who has developed a wonderful rapport with my son. Over the many years she has taught my son piano, she has always been flexible and understanding with scheduling. We have continued virtual lessons through the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, her recitals were well-organized and I could tell that she had wonderful relationships with her other students as well.
