Kathleen Pratt is absolutely one of the most fantastic speakers that these students will ever hear and see. Her message is unparallel and her enthusiasm is unmatched. She is the real deal. She doesn't tell the students, "just don't have sex". She explains to them the unhealthy choices that she made when she was a teenager and how the real consequences have followed her throughout her adult life. Not just affecting her but, her entire family. You couldn't get a more educated and interesting speaker to talk to the teens about HIV/AIDS than Kathleen. Marvelous speaker....keeps the students attention with a serious message. (Rodney Alaimo --Niagara County Youth Bureau -Outreach Educator.)
What do students say about Kathleen:
Kathleen was one of my favorite speakers. I learned about the problems HIV/AIDS people have to face and how on the outside you may not see anything wrong with them, but on the inside its chaos. It influenced my behavior by teaching me to enjoy life, because it only takes, a moment to ruin it. I liked her presentation and even stayed after class for about half an hour talking to her. Yes I missed my bus for it. She was just a really cool person to talk to. (16 year old female student)
Living with HIV with Kathleen was the most incredible story. I was so shocked to learn that she had HIV.I couldnt even tell. This story was a wake -up call and made me go and get tested. I liked how authentic Kathleen was

And Finally These speakers all told us about their past and told us not to do what they did. In a book you just read to yourself, but when someone talks to you face to face, its much better. I understand it more, when a human tells me than a book. They actually experience everything they said.
