I hired Bob a few months ago for an event this past weekend (semi formal) similar to a Prom. He did an absolutely amazing job. Not only did he provide the opportunity and links for the kids to request songs ahead of time. Before hand he had the ability to video conference with the student officers and myself to better communicate how the event would turn out. He was easy to communicate with and prompt in response time to all communications with the best method that worked for me. The sound quality was fantastic, In conversation he told me that he has the ability to do so much more for a larger space. The chaperones and myself felt that we were at a live concert with the special effects, fog/haze and lights. Hands down totally worth the money. Bob knows how to keep the crowd entertained. He threw out foam light rods to the kids, which was really cool to see the effects. I had kids that did not want to leave after 4.5 hours of dancing. They wanted more and after running the event for 6 year this was the first time kids did not want to leave. It was totally and with out a doubt FANTASTIC!

Bob did a great job at our wedding in July. It was an outdoor wedding and he took care of sound for the ceremony and the reception and did some fantastic dance floor lighting. He made sure everything was the way we wanted it, was flexible and professional, and went quite a bit beyond the services we'd paid for. Thanks for helping us have the best wedding day possible. It really was a perfect day!

We were a little worried about hiring someone on Thumbtack for our wedding but we were not disappointed. Robert Powell is a wonderful DJ and he is very easy to work with. We are both Active duty military so he was very understand when we had to change the date of our wedding due to my Fiancée being extended on his deployment. He was also very kind and offered us a military discount. He provided a separate sound system for the ceremony with music and wireless microphones for the officiate. He also provide a large sound system with dance floor lighting and wireless microphones for the reception. We were able to meet him for a one on one consultation before the wedding and he also provided a wedding planner for the ceremony and reception that was very helpful. We wanted a set playlist for our wedding and he was very accommodated to what we wanted for our wedding. Robert kept everything running very smooth during the wedding so we didnt worry about anything. Todd and I wanted to say thank you again for your outstanding job as our DJ on September 27th at Pine Cradle Lake in Rome, PA. We had a great time as well as our guests. You will be highly recommended to anyone we know who is looking for a DJ service. Thanks again for everything.

We had our wedding on 8/6/16 and Bob did a great job. He was great working with and planning with up until the wedding day. On the wedding day he was there very earlier setting up and making sure everything was perfect. He played great music, got the crowd moving, and got them excited. I couldn't be happier : )

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all begins with a simple phone call or text!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My passion for music! I was in the band, chorus and jazz ensemble in my high school and college. After college I sang in bands and in the 90's decided to start a business offering DJ and Karaoke services. I have continued to thrive and evolve as times change and truly love what I do.
