Taj Mahal Construction
About this pro
Taj Mahal offers a wide variety of professional services at a reasonable price. From a kitchen remodel, bathroom upgrade and even custom wood work on a side porch, they have come through and I’ve always been pleased with the final product. If you’re looking for a contractor you can trust to get the job done, look no further.Jul 23, 2018
Set up a time a week out to have Taj Mahal come out and look at my project 1 hour before we were suppose to meet they canceled and basically told me they didn't need my business. If you are looking for a construction company that is honast, professional, and timely then this is not your company!! Buyer be warnedMay 15, 2018VerifiedRichard L.'s reply
First of all you never hired me, second of all I had something come up I could not get around and asked you how fast you were looking to have the work done because we are pretty booked and did not want you waisting time if you were looking to have it done ASAP! I never said I didn’t need your business, was trying to be realistic letting you know we would not be able to do your work ASAP with the work load we have!
Rich, the owner, and Scott removed our old bathtub and installed a walk-in shower with custom tile, beautiful tempered glass doors and shelves. The results were spectacular. Rich is very easy to work with, honest, fair, and has an excellent work ethic. He showed up on time every day and worked diligently until the project was complete - to my satisfaction. I'll be the first to tell you that I am very demanding and pay close attention to detail. Rich exceeded all of my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend Taj Mahal Construction, and in fact, my son will also be using him for finishing off hiss family room.Mar 1, 2016Verified
Rich and his team do a very good job. We hired him for our bathroom and also rehired for outside foundation work. He is very easy to work with and does a nice job.May 18, 2015Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge accordingly per job, I'm usually in range of all other contractors.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Always like to come out and meet the customer face to face, and look at the project in person, every job is different. I like to sit down with the customer and go over the job, and materials then settle on a budget. From there I will write up a contract and set a start date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have twenty five years of experience in the trades, framed houses in Colorado Springs for a few years, but most of my work has been in and around binghamton area. I still take the time to go to shows and learn about new materials and installation of them.
