I just had Pedro do the finish work on a walk in closet that is having a shelving system installed Weds. I needed the flooring I have in the bedroom installed in the closet, and the walls needed additional plastering on seams, then painting and quarter round laid along the join between wall and floor. He came last Weds. and did the plastering, but the old seams needed to be redone, so it all needed to dry overnight. The next day he got a flat that meant he had to return Friday instead, but he made it and got the work done in the time he estimated. I had booked him early enough that the delay wasn’t a problem. I am thrilled with the end result and actually gave him a bonus, mainly because he listened to my concerns as he started work, and when I was worried about the dust from sanding speckled filling my bedroom hung plastic to seal the closet off, and in the end there was minimal mess. Whatever issues may arise he seems willing to work to resolve them. I have him giving me a price for another job I need done once the closet is complete and stuff is stored again, so plan to call on him again. Just be clear on what you want up front as he starts, how you want it done, he’ll let you know if that works, listen, and adjust. I appreciated the clarity of communication and the work quality.

Summary: Everything started off well. Then the completed work was not up to our expectations. Poorly done. Lack of communication throughout the project. He now refuses to respond and has failed to return the rest of our property. Do not book!! In detail: I requested for my cabinets to be repainted so that they could be reinstalled. Pedro guaranteed me that he could get the job done is about 4 days. He included in pick up, drop off as well as a 3 year guarantee for imperfections. This was all for a decent price. The project started off well with me also giving him a floor tile and a section of my granite counter top to select a corresponding color. We agreed on color and finish. He could not finish in 4 days time due to circumstances beyond his control ie. he got sick and it was pretty rainy that week. All of that was not an issue to me. I asked that he take his time so that he could feel better and the work could be done nicely. My only ask is that he keep me updated. When we finally did arrange a drop off time and I inspected the cabinets they were poorly done! There was no clear coat and the doors were clearly not cleaned properly before painted. He literally painted over sand and dirt. So if I removed the sand, paint also chipped! There is also no clear coat. That should not be happening for the price agreed upon. Almost each and door was noticeably imperfect! I notified him that I would give him the opportunity to address the issues and also request that he return an essential piece of the cabinet, the granite and tile piece. Since then it’s been radio silence.
