FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge $25/hr for Vocal/Overdub recording sessions, $80 for 4 hours, and $150 for 8 hours plus a one-hour break. Editing and Comping of recorded content is included, no additional charge. I also will give a 25% discount on mixing/mastering for whatever songs are recorded during the sessions with a return period of 2-5 days (including revisions) if the artist is interested ($75 for vocal mixing with a stereo instrumental, $150 for full mix with a multi-tracked instrumental over 24 tracks, etc.). My bulk discounts will also be applied if the artist would like 3 or more songs mixed/mastered. Discounted pricing is also available for mixing without mastering.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically like to jump right in and find what works best for them when it comes to recording and getting the best result. Sometimes artists like fast-paced sessions and sometimes they like to take their time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor’s of Music in Sound Recording Technology from Ithaca College, interned at Warner Bros. Studios Nashville working alongside producers such as Paul Worley and Scott Hendricks (receiving an Assistant Engineer credit on Blake Shelton’s “Texoma Shore”), and work as a freelance audio (studio and live) engineer in New York City.
