Introduction: I have proven to singers that through my exercises and vocal guidance you will improve your tone, range and musicality as well as your performance technique and understanding of phrasing and telling the story which translate to a better overall performance in telling the story and thus singing the song. In addition, I have mastered all genres of popular music. From Legit Broadway, jazz, Blues, R&B, soul, Rock, Pop and Gospel. I have had two students make it to the final 12 of THE VOICE and one made it to the final 3. Michaela page and Will Champlin. I am a professional minded vocal coach. My voice sessions are two hours utilizing the first hour on vocal techniques.I have worked with teenagers to adults. Amateurs to recording artists. I have vocal coached two singers who made the finals of THE VOICE and have also worked with artists from jive/RCA records/Sony music. I focus on technique, breathing and telling the story. "Your Breathing affects your Phrasing, your Phrasing affects How You Tell the Story and How You tell the story is how you sing the song" . My quote. if you truly want to get to the next level and learn your instrument and how to control it, Come work with me. Look forward to hearing from you. I charge $75/hour. so for a two hour session the price is $150. I have worked professionally off and On Broadway in lead roles from Pippin to Dreamgirls, To Purlie. I have also \worked as lead singer for groups and members of these internationally known r=artists and bands, ranging from Rock/Soul;, Santana, Tower Of Power, Doobie Brothers,,Loading Zone, Jazz;Herbie Hancock, The Headhunters, Airto and Flora Purim, John Handy,Al Jarreau, George Duke, Jon Hendricks, Donald Harrison and many, many more. R& B ;Switch, Graham Central Station, Blues; John Lee Hooker, and My own group Tout Le Monde which was just inducted along with myself and my fellow band mates into the NY Blues Hall of Fame class of 2017. In addition my band the Kevin Harris All stars is now a well developed group combining Jazz, Funk, soul , blues and Pop with some of the world's greatest musicians. I have taught voice for many years. It is a passion to pass along my experience strength and hope to other. In 2010 I was diagnosed with early stages of Stage IV throat/neck Cancer. It was during this time that my teaching and coaching/mentoring young singers at Jive/Sony records allowed me to maintain my instrument. I worked with R. Kelly, PINK, Gavin DeGraw and Miguel just to name a few , Coaching and mentoring . This was all done while going through a rigorous treatment of radiation/Chemotherapy. In order to keep it , I had to give it away. My vocal session are very strenuous. I focus on your instrument, i.e. breathing, Stamina, range, tone , Phrasing, telling the story. I want my singers to be able to do two shows a night, go to the next town and repeat two shows a night and perform flawlessly with power or tenderness but not lose anything vocally. Your body is your instrument and we must take care of it like a musician takes care of his instrument. I am dedicated to the craft of teaching , but most importantly i am dedicated to my students. When the lesson ends, does not end our communication nor my availability to be there for you through whatever medium is necessary. I look forward to working with you and guiding you on this journey of self realization, growth and achieving your goals , but most importantly, making you into an accomplished well rounded vocalist of various styles and genres. Till then... Peace and Love, Kevin I truly enjoy sharing my experience as a singer and the ups and downs we experience being a singer and how to take care of your voice and waht it takes to be successful and stay relevant as a singer. In order to keep it, I must give it away

I met Kevin after a meeting with Sony records and we began immediately working together. Kevin is a talented performer and teacher with true skill and passion for his craft, and a very bright, bold and colorful personality to go with it. He helped me to grow vocally as an artist, performer and songwriter, teaching and pushing me to further develop my skill far better than I thought I could. He is a great motivator and never gives up on himself or his students and truly cares about each of them. Excellent vocal coach, teacher, talent and someone I now call a friend.
