I'm a New York based bassist, guitarist, and composer. I've performed across the US in venues from Lincoln Center to Blue Note, and internationally in over 11 countries across Europe and Asia. My collective trio KADAWA has been a featured act in festivals such as the Detroit Jazz Festival, Jazzwerkstatt (CH), Jazzmeile Thuringen (GE), and the Jerusalem Jazz Festival (IS). My work has been covered in The New York Times, All About Jazz, Indie Current, and many other news outlets.
But most importantly, I've been playing Electric Bass and Double Bass for 15 years now and still love every minute of it. Bass is such a fascinating instrument -- you can do pretty much everything with it, from playing virtuosic solo pieces to making your crowd dancing with some juicy bass lines!

Almog is a very fine teacher. He is patient, insightful, and rigorous. I study bass and music composition with him, and I have recommended him as a teacher to musician friends of all skill/understanding levels. Those who have heeded my advice are still studying with him today.
At the end of a lesson, I'm already looking forward to the next one. He has helped me develop and improve my technical proficiency with the instrument, as well as my understanding and enjoyment of music theory.
And I'd just like to add the obvious: the guy is an astonishingly good player! I love those moments in the lesson when he teaches by doing. I get the private attention of a world-class bassist!

Almog is one of the best musicians and teachers I've met.
He is an incredible and versatile bass player, on both electric and double bass, and is fluent in various styles including jazz, rock, funk and bossa nova. He is also a composer and listens to a wide range of musical styles, and all of that comes across in his teaching and open-minded approach, with lessons tailored for the student's needs and passions.
He is very positive, encouraging and patient, and makes it a point to have a good time during the lessons, while explaining the material clearly and enthusiastically.
Whether you're looking to take your playing to the next level, learn more about theory, rhythm or composition, Almog is definitely the teacher for it! I can highly recommend his classes.

I am a complete beginner when it comes to anything music related. I make youtube videos and graphic intros, but I really wanted to make my own music and sound designs to complement the video. Almog was super helpful in teaching me how to start thinking about the process of creating short musical stings that felt complete and polished. I already had a little understanding of how to work with software for audio and video programs, but I was happy to learn that Almog and I shared a similar passion for tech and software, so it made learning the intricacies of the audio specific software more enjoyable and rewarding. He is very patient and persistent, clever, funny, incredibly kind, and generous with his knowledge and time. You will learn and have fun with Almog teaching.

It's so much fun to study electric bass with Almog! At first I wasn't sure if online music lessons would work for me, but YES, they totally do and it has become my favorite day of the week, distracting me from the endless hours of working from home.
Almog is a great musician and the best teacher I could imagine, always patient, supportive, no matter how stupid my questions are... after 6 months I can already play along with some Stevie Wonder songs!!

Almog is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He is highly sensitive and tailored our lessons to fit my interests and goals both with guitar and composition. He made me feel incredibly comfortable from the very beginning and has been supportive and patient throughout our lessons. He is really knowledgeable and has led me through both technical challenges and the mental challenges of music theory and composition (writer's block, personal insecurities etc). I feel much more confident and at ease with my music because of our lessons and I'm very grateful to be able to learn from such an amazing musician!
