- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am open to negotiation with my students depending on distance, frequency, and length of lessons. Generally, I offer half hour and hour-long lessons. I prefer the hour-long lessons once students reach a certain age, mostly because I like to work a bit on understanding rhythms and concert percussion, and then working on the drum set for the second half of the lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always have a way of gauging a new student's level of proficiency and initial needs within the first couple of lessons, and usually take those lessons as a chance to figure out the pace and angles at which we'll be able to work on my general curriculum.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! I often take lessons with a college teacher of mine, and I am a working musician in a number of different musical settings and groups which keep me up-to-date as well as increasing my understanding of my students' efforts!
