Hello! My name is Madeline! I have been a Face painter for over ten years. I absolutely love my job. It is such a honor to get to bring my creative skills to events all over the New York City area.
In my experience people of all ages get very excited about face painting and I can’t imagine a better career than one that brings joy to everyone.
I grew up in a family of party entertainers and training for face and body painting started when I was just a teenager. My mother face paints and my father is a caricature artist. I consider myself to be a multimedia artist, I draw and paint. I utilize those skills in face and body art.

We had a wonderful experience working with Maddie! She was a hit at my son's birthday party. All the kids loved the designs she did for them on their faces and arms, and she also incorporated dinosaur designs for our themed birthday party. We would definitely work with her again!

We were so grateful to Green Tree for the amazing birthday experience. Our group of 13 5-year-olds loved the face paint, glitter tattoos, and balloon animals, and the parents all mentioned being so impressed with their work. Madeline was incredibly responsive, communicative and understanding when we were struggling with rain-date-decision-making. She was extremely accommodating and kind throughout the whole process. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For individuals wanting to be painted: I show them samples of my designs and ask them about their preference of color. I try to get a good idea of what they are looking for. When I am finished I show them in the mirror and ask them if they like it and if they want glitter. I always edit if the individual is going for something else.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained with painters with ten years or more of experience. I spend a lot of time researching face painting technique and I have taken art classes.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It is a family business of mine. My mother does it,two of my aunts do it. There is a lot of love that goes into this work.
