Matthew was responsive and clear about his rates. He was available on short notice. The job turned out to be more involved than expected and estimated. He was willing to cap his fee at $400. He stayed over 12 hours so I insisted he accept $500. We did incur some property damage to a class chandelier, and Matthew advised us that there is insurance through Thumbtack to cover this. He said he would research it and advise how to make a claim.

Fantastic experience with Matt! He arrived on time and got right to work taking apart the old bed and assembling the new one. The bed has a hydraulic lift to access storage underneath so a little trickier than the average bed, and it works perfectly. Will definitely use Matt for future projects!

In college, I took electrician and home improvement courses. I also trained and worked as a technician in the military.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve always loved hands-on problem solving. I worked various industry jobs such as home theater installation and HVAC. Eventually I ventured into my own handyman practice.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently did a job for a fashion company where I built an industrial hanging system for their storage units. It was a custom job that took a few days and it turned out great.
