I give Jamii 5 stars with a big caveat. He did not end up doing the job. I had booked with someone who wasn't confirming the date of work. I contacted Jamii as a back-up and Jamii was fantastic about understanding the situation and scheduled me on his next available date/time ... IF the first person flaked out. First person would up not flaking. But Jamii was great ... even after I told him my original guy confirmed to do the job, he contacted me on his own to check in if everything had worked out well. So to be clear, I didn't wind up having him build furniture. But he was exceedingly helpful and professional. And I would be remiss if I didn't point that out.

Duc helped me shop, delivery, and assemble the furniture from IKEA. Not only was his price competitive compared to 3+ other quotes I received, he was simply pleasant to work with. He sent me a spreadsheet listing out cost breakdown for the quote, which was rarely organized. He was commiited to the project and willing to walk extra mile to make it as close to perfet as he could. Because we had a baby at home, he always let us know in advance when he needed to drill a hole or make other louder noise. He would check the security of the assembled furniture again and again to ensure the safety (known issue for some IKEA items). I would highly reommend Duc to anyone who is looking for a honest and trustworthy professional for furniture assembly or home construction projects.

I give a fix rate on my quotes.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Ask probing questions so I can provide value added solutions. Customer are hiring me not just for manual labor but to provide recommendations, ideas and solutions that add that extra touch. If my customers really want an order taker they would have gone for fast food.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in the construction business since I was 7 years old. It's something I enjoy doing, it's a way for me to express my GOD given creativity.
